I had to look up who directed American Gangster. Ridley Scott doesnt have a 2nd?

No Abel Ferrara?

Feels disrespectful to single out just one, since I love all these movies, the head says Francis but the heart says Tarantino.

Is Carlito’s Way a must watch classic? Only one on the list I haven’t seen.

I'd go Scorsese but with Mean Streets, not Casino

For me, depalma with Scarface and Carlito's way, hands down. Both of those movies had such depth and resonated with me so much, particularly Carlito's way. Ironic thing was, Depalma had zero interest in doing Carlito's way because he felt like he'd already done that story with scarface, I'm glad he reneged. Carlito's Way was even better and seems so related to Scarface but was different in a lot of ways.

Love Scorcese and love Goodfellas but I saw Casino once and couldn't tell you anything about it I was so bored. The Godfather films are a series I never really got into either.

it's certainly my favorite on the list, it's probably the most overlooked but I would take it just slightly over Goodfellas if we're talking the best out of all of them.
