BK is a much different game than boxing with gloves on, Artem fucking Lobov beat Paulie Malignaggi in BKFC a few years back. Who knows what will happen, but yeah as an MMA fan who has watched the physical and mental decline of Diego...its going to be hard for anyone to now want the corner to throw the towel in the moment he starts getting hit.

I've seen several posts like this over the last year or two.

Paulie Malignaggi is possibly the most feather fisted boxer ever to claim a world title. Add in that he was naturally 20 LBS smaller and totally washed up, and that he was easily winning until suffering a hand injury (he still won and was not given decision) it is strange to me this fight is ever referenced.

Sanchez will get bludgeoned.

Malignaggi has hands of porcelain and one of the lowest KO percentages of anyone who has made it to a belt in the last few decades (19%). <45>

Should be an easy win for Trout...not like Diego was ever known for his stand-up.

Lol it got worse...I added to it just now. I forgot about the Only Fans scandal... added that too.

how freaking terrible. man, some people just never learn. after being swindled once I would be on high alert on every transaction/business deal/investment I made there after

that's the one.

the man made infamous due to his giraffe dance.

to be fair, I still think Trout won this fight.
That fight is why open scoring is shitty, in a nutshell. Canelo nevered bothered coming out of second gear because the scorecards all had him way ahead. That would have been a totally different fight if the judges weren't reminding him how far ahead he was on points for the entire fight.

I forgot about the open scoring

i have zero confidence it'll even be competitive. I have to claim ignorance on knowing the details of Diego's finances but I suspect he's got no backup plan and is going to fight until they tell him no.

I just don't get the thought process behind this one. Yes Trout is 37 but as of today he's ranked 9th by the IBF, and the WBA have just moved him up to 6th for some reason.

Presumably he can still make better money in boxing without having to take bare fists to the face.

What the hell BKFC?

The 37-year old Austin Trout has a record of 36-5 in boxing, held the WBA super-welterweight title, had a competitive fight with Canelo and has been super active as of late.
His last loss was in 2018, when he challenged current super-welterweight champion Jermell Charlo for his WBC-title and lost a majority decision over 12 rounds.
Trout is ranked 6th in the world by WBA and 9th by IBF.
This is like a death sentence for Diego

WW in BKFC is 170lbs if im reading things right, thats some weight advantage for Diego Sanchez, boxing WW is 147lbs, Trout has been fighting at 154lbs, i still think he wins this fairly easy.
