Diego Sanchez Now On A Six Fight Losing Streak...

Well, there is a good argument that he has lost six fights in a row, and he seemed completely divorced from reality talking about how proud he was to win last night. Reporters pointing out to him that three fans on Sherdog and his mom are the only people who thought he won that fight might help the guy make more sense of his current career trajectory.

I mean, the win bonuses must be nice, but he is not really competitive with top fifteen fighters anymore. His aberrant official win-loss record is hiding that crucial detail from no one but him.

The thing is when you fight, with so much adrenalin and violence sometimes you will not even remember what happened during the battle and in the blink of an eye it's over with the judges give their verdict. So we can't blame Diego for the judges decision, the judges should be held accountable and any unfair victories overturned

The same thing happened here on sherdog when Machidad fought Shogun the first time, everybody saw Shogun clearly win and the judges gave the victory to Machida , sherdog crashed and everyone said it was the worst robbery in the history of the sport

Machida is not to blame in that instance and neither is Diego, the blame is on the judges

Why does Diego not go for takedowns more often? Are his knees messed up?
Or why not try to wear down people in th clinch? He keeps getting into these sloppy exchanges and losing.

He might consider retiring, he's on a six fight losing streak.

He's taken a ton of damage in the last 10 years.

I never blamed Diego for anything.

Your comments in this thread suggest that
1. people are dismissing the real world when they say Diego ought to be riding a six fight losing streak and
2. people are disrespecting Diego when they suggest he lost those fights.

Both of those are untenable positions.

Why are you so defensive for Diego? We all know he can take a punch. He can handle a comment or two on the internet.

But...He did. He did lose to Pearson, he did lose to Gomi, adn he did lose to Kampmann.Just because it the judges are either corrupt or stupid doesn't change the fact that he LOST those fights.

If Diego gets upset that people say he lost 6 in a row...well he did.

Some people care more about what an authority figure (judges, commissions etc) has to say than the reality that they see with their own eyes.

Let's be honest about what's happening with this Sanchez situation. Yes, it can be said that he was gifted the decision last night, but much like the Academy Awards, where obvious winners get snubbed so that the academy can right the wrongs of previous snubs, the judges are just trying to make up for the robbery Diego suffered in the Penn fight.

I thought Diego's legs looked extra small/thin in the Pearson fight. And I don't mean compared to Pearson's. In general.

Here is his actual real world UFC record and not your imaginary version

So in reality he was on a two fight loss streak, try relaxing a bit and being less dramatic
