Didn't an injured Conor have no problem taking down Holloway?

What's a good wrestler like Lamas going to do to the big betting favorite. Anyone else picking Lamas here?

That win gets better with age. NCAA Conor was legit.

Wasn't Max green and with bad takedown defence at the moment? He was barely 3 years into his MMA career and 7-2.

Holloway was also injured in that fight according to himself.

Also Conor was able to to threaten the Hawaiian with his world class MMA (read: C-level) striking, something Conrad McGuillicutty simply does not possess.

No he pulled his groin trying to pass Holloways guard. So he took him down before he got injured.

He also took him down AFTER Max broke his foot.

Holloway had a broken foot which limits a fighter like him from pushing off on the hips to stand up, fight was also 3 years ago.

But the Max we have now would kill Conor and his old self. He has improved tremendously.

Conor is far better than Holloway and would still be odds on to beat him 29/30.

Stupid bitter biased shertards.

Max broke his foot in the 1st
McGregor pulled his knee in the 2nd while trying to pull his leg out of Max's half guard.

But Max has obviously come a long way in his take down defense & I believe he will be able to keep Lamas off of him.

I got Lamas here. If he comes in constantly looking for a takedown its gonna be a long night for Max.

What makes you think that? His best wins are Frankies leftovers and when Oliveira suffered a freak injury he jumped around as if he starched him, you could tell he wanted out of there fast.

That was 8 fights and 3 years ago. Doesn't say a whole lot about Holloway today IMO.

I am. I'm hoping Max destroys him but I can see Lamas holding him down for a decision win.

Max broke his foot with the very first kick he threw in the fight early in round 1. Conor had a huge advantage tearing his knee at the end of round 2........

Fact Conor couldn't finish a injured Max for over 9 minutes plus he had being the healthy man while Max was basically on one leg.......

Lamas is definitely a threat in the wrestling department but Holloway's lateral movement won't exactly make it easy for Lamas to position himself for a takedown. Lamas might pin Holloway against the fence for a period or 2 and land some decent kicks at range but ultimately I see Holloway landing the more meaningful strikes to take a decision.

connor threads have gone from beating lawler to this..
