I'm a little worried about this Stephens matchup. I can easily see him KO'ing Barao in devastating fashion.

Since the first TJ fight...Barao obviously looks like a shell of his former self.

Did TJ steal Renan's soul? Will we ever see the old, aggressive and fearless Barao again?

I hope not,but it looks like TJ Boa Constructor squeezed, the soul out of him

Very possible. We'll see how much the lack of weight cutting helps Barao.

Vampire's don't have souls, bro. Didn't you watch Buffy?

And don't try and tell me they're not the same person.

No he was never the same after he slipped getting out of the tub that one time.

I miss Soul Consumer Vampire Baran. That guy was evil before the fight, and as soon as it finished he would jumble around dancing sensual brazilian dances around his victim's corpse.

didn't see this bit of news... cool that Renan is finally moving up in weight; hope he looks good there

Weight cut did it is the only reasonable explanation.

You've seen him on salad, now watch him on steak.

and pardon me for sharing this thought that's been ricocheting around my skull this evening:

I feel like if you're going to be cremated when you die, you might as well have them go ahead and taxidermy your corpse first. And in a special pose that you and your family decide upon (obviously in advance). If it comes out nicely, display it somewhere meaningful. If it looks bad, just burn that shit and pour it into an urn...

yes he did. the proof is in Baraos eyes in the rematch. also TJ won against cruz.

Sadly Baron is done and will never be what he once was. He will be the next Grey Maynard.

I want Barao to win badly! He is an amazing , entertaining and gifted fighter. What made him exciting is his go for broke, hard hitting style. Finish or be finished like Nate said...

If only Ludwig didn't brainwash him into thinking he was a stand up wrecking machine and he stayed with TAM and the grapple heavy approach. The only round TJ won he used his wrestling.

Cruz 1, 2, 3, 5

I'm just happy Barao won't be passing out making weight anymore.

These things happen in sports. Sometimes the opponent just has your number. Lakers vs kings in 2000s. Madison bumgarner vs KC royals

Barao looked diminished against Gagnon between the Dillashaw fights despite finishing that fight.

I think it's a compound issue between the damage he's taken against TJ and the toll of the cut to BW.

TJ "Shang Tsung" Dillashaw
