1. An all black high school in Tennessee..Bedford..(40's) won every game for five seasons, the first three seasns they were unscored on and......................nobody even crossed the 50 yard line.
2.A 16 year old high schooler named Betty Robinson won the first female Olympic 100m in 1928.
3.Also in 1928 a tiny Canadian Percy Williams, all 126 pounds of him won the Olympic 100m. As a kid he was sicky and told to cool anything stremous.
4. West Texas State football put 10 former Buffalos into the pro wrestling biz.
5.Chris Jericho is back in the WWE.
6.Georgia Tech 222 Cumberland 0, a Tech RB scoring 18 TD's
7.Bo Jackson twice won the Alabama HS decatthon and never had to run the 1500.
8.John "Diesel" Riggins twice won the Kansas HS 100 yard dash.(obviously lighter then)
9 The great Packer WR Don Hutson played baseball and ran track, so there is a baseball game and a track meet right there on that Alabama campus, so after striking out he walks over to the track changes his shoes takes off his hat and wins the 100 wearing his baseball uni.
10.Gale "Kansas Comet" Sayers was the nations top HS long jumper with a 24-11 leap. And........his older bro Roger was a world ranked sprinter once beating Bob Hayes.
11.Wesley Walker a Jets WR was legally blind in one eye.
12.Pro wrestler Shelton Benjamin was a national caliber JC sprinter (obviously lighter then)
13.Boxer Jack Dempsey stold that name from another boxer.
14,Who hasn;t heard of Jesse Owens, would ya believe in his day another cat named Eulace Peacock had a 7-3 record vs him in the 100, injuries fucked up his Olympic chances
15,At the 1960 Olympics the USA won the gold in the female 4x1 running Tennessee State a college team. On anchor the 100/200m champ Wilma Rudolph who had beat polio as a kid. She was one of 22 kibs.
16.Christian McCaffreys grandpa Dave Sime won the Olympic 100m silver medal at those 1960 Olympics.
17.Also at those 1960 Olympics boxer Cassius Clay won the gold as a light heavy.
18.The Browns, Colts and Niners all started out in another football league.
19. Monster fullback Cookie Gilchrist went straight from HS to the CFL then the Bills, he was the first AFLer to have a 1000 yard season.
