Wait what? I am really confused here.. it seems like the referee stopped the fight because Hunt acted like it was over, was it?

Probs for Hunt for not hitting Mir on the ground or what?

Did Hunt actually took the referee's job in his own hands and told to himself: "He got enough, it's over, fuck the ground hits"?

Can someone post a gif/video of the whole sequence, it didn't make sense. All praise Hunt for being a referee and a fighter. Is this the new trend?

I'm pretty sure that if Mark Hunt would jump on top of Mir to finish him the ref would've let it go on for atleast another good punch. Still a nice way of finishing the fight, though. Shows how knowledgeable Hunt is about the game and it just saved Mir from more damage.

I doubt Marc Goddard would be swayed by any fighter doing that. He must have seen something in Frank's eyes to call the fight off.

Hunt is 41 and knows when someone is KO'd. The Just Bleed fans are mad because he didn't turn Mir into a vegetable.

no. marc stopped the fight cause mir was ko'ed and mark knew it

He stopped it cause Mir acted like it was over

Just the wind from the ref waving the fight off almost KO'd Mir lol.

I trust Marc Godard. He's one of the best refs. He had the best view of Mir and also had the ability to communicate with Frank.

At first, it looked like it was going to be an early stoppage.

But when Hunt walked past Mir, and Mir was still starring off into space with no reaction, then it was pretty clear Hunt knocked Mir the fuck out.

I'm sure if they did a close up on Mir's eyes you'd see he was out of it. He wasn't moving.

Nah, He looked at Mir and at his eyes and waved it off. The ref was Mark Goddard. Just last week he was being hailed as the greatest ref to come down the pike for knowing how to take charge out there. :D

Hunt has punched a lot of people, and knows when somebody isn't getting up. He was right, again.

Mir fell not even looking at Hunt; his eyes were glazed over staring forward. There's a reason he didn't start grabbing a leg, scooting forward, getting up, or anything. Hell, he didn't even talk to the ref for for a few.

There's something about the way Mir moves that just doesn't inspire confidence in his stand up. We know his strengths are in his jitz but looking at him plodding around there.. but on a literal level it's like he's taking far too many steps for a HW with each sequence. I'm not a coach but he just doesn't look right imo, and should try to work more in the clinch.

Does that make Conor a dick for hammerfisting Aldo twice after he clearly was KTFO (worse than Mir)?

He looked at Mir first. More damage would have been unnecessary.

This, Mir had no clue what was going on and completely froze. Hunt could have walked to Mir, sat on him and put him in an armbar without much reaction.
