Did Ryan Spann even train for this fight?

I'm sure he trains. I just think heavyweights need to learn how much proper nutrition affects your performance.

There was a punch Spann caught Waldo with sometime later in Round 1 which looked like it twisted his head about 270 degrees and Waldo barely flinched. I genuinely think Spann shit a brick there, not sure if I was just really high but Waldo must have an insane chin

Same thought occurs here after every single non title HW fight. Legit. Every time.

People are still wondering if Derrick Lewis trains.

Waldo had his timing down and after that Spann had no plan B. But Spann looks good and bad every other fight, his coaches seemed more concerned with his mental state then a gameplan adjustment. He might just be a head case when it comes to fighting.

Yea kind of like how Kevin Holland doesn't want to become a dominant champion because he doesn't want all the attention from the public that the massive wealth and fame would bring.
Within 5 years he'll probably be broke, and blaming the UFC for his money woes.

It is well known that Spann completely fizzles out if he faces any sort of pushback. He quit in round 1 when he saw how fast Waldes was. The body language said it all.

HW fights I've often wondered this. If you can just do nothing and show up and make $30k some guys will do it.

Don't have to pay gym fees.

I read Mark Hunts book and he was sometimes not able to train or was too sidetracked.

Probably gave it his all brother. Why would a professional fighters, not train in preparation for a fight? They are risking their health, life, and livelihood during these fights, would hope they take this serious.
People can be lazy and/or lose motivation, regardless what they do for a living. Fighters aren't an exception to the human condition.

People are being hard on Ryan tbh. I thought he did well. Second round he gassed, for sure, but Acosta is no joke. He's one of the rare, good heavyweights. Him vs Mick Parkin next hopefully.

He literally says he barely trains. When he ko'd Reyes, he said he looked so good cause he trained hard for the first time.

Remember Spann KOed Reyes with ease... you know the guy that put a beating on Jones

How dare you

Jon never lost a round, he fought real LHWs all his career and never took steroids,
turinabol does nothing to the human body! jon goat!

well, he did. the whole "you think lyoto machida, an undefeated lhw champion is a REAL 205er?" thing is really stupid.
