And if so why? Just seems to me that Poirier is more powerful at 155 and McGregor really hasn't been. What would be the cause for the discrepancy? Again, it's just my "impression", haven't analyzed this in any scientific rationale.

The problem is that Conor hasn't fought enough at 155 for us to really determine that.

I would agree that Conor's power doesn't seem to have translated well. His only real showing of power was against Alvarez. Nate ate his best shots all night twice and Khabib looked mostly amused. Dustin has definitely improved everywhere.

Conor is not particularly powerful compared to 155s.
He is powerful compared to 145s.

He got his leg destroyed which took away his ability to move well and then got knocked out i think people are overanalyzing this

Agree on not seeing "enough", just my impression based on seeing how much damage Dustin is dealing out in comparision so far. I mean, at 145 I'd venture to guess most people would see Conor as the harder hitter, and with both moving up, I think alot would assume that Conor would still have a relative power advantage but it doesn't seem to be the case so far. Even looking at Conor fighting Max compared to Dustin's Two fights with Max. Dustin at 155 is really the only guy that's made Holloway look at risk of getting put out. 145 Dustin and 145 Conor didn't really do that.

Keep in mind though at 145 Conor has a huge reach advantage as well.

Conor 74" reach
Max 69" reach
Aldo 70" reach
Poirier 72" reach

Agree, but why the difference for Conor and not for Dustin? If anything, Dustin's power "seems" to have gotten better going up.

This is a good point too...

Conor teaming up with Canelo and will soon be more powerful than we ever imagined.

McGregor's power was always overrated. He was only good when knocking out midgets and chinny alvarez. Even josh Thompson finished nate. Instead conor lost to him twice.

Dustin won via superior fight IQ and planning. Not some new found "power" he took out con mans legs. The rest fell into plac .

The plan was to take punches until Conor gasses out or his leg tumbles.

Not sure that's superior fight IQ but it worked.

Dustin he’s a great fighter now. Years ago at 145 he wasn’t. But today at 155 he is. He’s a Hall of Fame fighter.

He did. He basically decided to survive the initial storm and then take over. That’s exactly what happened.

There is no why. Thats just how it happens.

I love Conor McGregor. But honestly he really has a lot in common with a prime Tyson. If he doesn’t get you early he’s not going to get you. The longer the fight goes, the worse it is for him.

No, porier remained the same as did conor, mcgregor was never this mordorous puncher he was always a tko artist, he had only 3 fights at lw all against top of the food chain guys, you won't look as impressive when you are not fighting mid tier guys anymore thats just logic
