Did Nate get paid more than Conor?

Is Conor really getting $10-$15+ mil per fight now?? That seems awfully high. Let's say it did 1 mil PPV buys. They'd pull in what, $60mil roughly. Gate did an estimated $8mil. So does Conor honestly make ~15-22% of the entire gate and PPV? And that's gross income, doesn't take into account paying all the employees, the PPV providers, venue, cable providers, other fighters, etc.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Doesn't seem likely.

And on top of that...a cut goes to the government (I assume Ireland's taxes are stupidly high), his manager, and SBG Ireland.

Well they say his pay is about 3 times GSP and GSP was getting 5 mil per fight. So I doubt 3 mil is possible. Maybe not a full 15 mil but I don't think there's much reason to doubt 10 at least.
yeah 3 mil is the lowest i would think he could possibly be betting paid. it's likely at least a mil more than that. but i dono about 10 mil... why is this "they" you speak of and what are their sources lol. the truth is, no one but the insiders really know, and the parties that speak to the public, i.e. mcgregor/dana white, cannot be trusted to give accurate or even realistic numbers.

How and why would you imagine this??? Just PURE imagination? As in, with no source or evidence? Just, like, imagine and pick a random number??

Because I'd be SHOCKED if Nate got anything over 2 mil. I would be surprised if he got anything close to 2 mil.

No, because they probably made 75 million just from PPV sales. Conor said he's getting paid well over 10 million. Nate got part of the PPV... he got more than 2 million.

Consider:

- Nate was drinking shots in Cabo not training for a triathlon, because...
- Dana is a bold face liar, his job is to promote his company

- Conor is brash and talks to build his brand, ignore anything he says about his deal

- Nobody knows the deal either guy has, that is a tightly held trade secret to Zuffa

The positive I see from this is Nate was woefully underpaid and told to zip it when he wanted a better deal. Think about that - he beat the brakes off the 'biggest name' in the sport coming off the couch, and they let a year of his career blow past because they wouldn't increase him from a 20/20 deal.

Fortunately the universe is back in balance now. The rising tide in MMA should lift all boats, but Zuffa prefers to promote and pay a handful of people and let everyone else make absolute peanuts.

Last weekend is a perfect example of why that is a terrible business decision, equal parts unfair and poorly constructed.

That's base pay. Do you know what Mayweathers base pay for Pacquiao was? Alot less than ~200 million dollars.
Forbes claim McGregor will earn at least $3 for every pay-per-view purchase and up to $5 per. I'm not sure how the math gets to $10M unless you think that PPV had 2M buys.

All these numbers are made up. For something that nobody's aloud to talk about, Dana sure does like to make statements about how much fighters are secretly making.

I hope Nate is a millionaire. He deserves it.
I also hope that Conor keeps or improves his $1million disclosed pay. That was a great moment for MMA when that was announced.

"I have no idea what they really made, but im gonna post an answer anyway, and call someone else an idiot"

I have heard a rumor that Conor may be getting somewhere in the neighborhood of $3/ppv buy. No one else is close to that.

But we are asking the wrong question. It should be how much did the ufc make after overhead? Then we will know what the % is of shared revenue between promoter and fighters

There is absolutely no way to know how these guys are actually paid. Conor is obviously getting a cut of the revenue. For Nate, no way to know. There is probably tax benefits for the UFC to pay guys out of revenue rather than purses or bonuses, so I'm guessing Nate is getting a cut of the buys, but again, we will never know this.

Then he is either bullshitting about his take or the number is wrong. He is supposedly getting over $10 million a fight. Unless this PPV did over 3 million buys, this isn't possible.

When Conor headlines UFC 200, he's going to have three consecutive 1m+ selling PPVs. The only other person to do that was Brock Lesnar. He's rolling in the dough. Nobody's close.

Only Conor has said that and let's be honest he likes to exaggerate just like Dana.

As for the OP no it's very unlikely however Nate would have made more money than ever before and good for him.

That was the rumor floating around but that was before the aldo ppv so maybe that $/ppv has gone up significantly.
