Of those bottom 5 guys he hasn't fought, only Cain would really improve his legacy. And Cain is old, broken down so even if he does win ppl will discredit him.

Fedor dominated HW for many years.

So, Fedor will be a hard landmark to surpass.

Wins over Cain, Werdum again, Blaydes, and Ngannou again would tie him with Fedor for me. Doing something spectacular like KOing Jones would put him over the top.
 
Not yet, but he's in the top 3 or 4 list of all-time heavy weighs.
 
It's unfair to Stipe but with the current condition of HW it seems almost impossible for him to eclipse Fedor's legacy
 
Bah who cares man? Fedor is over and done with, ok? At the end of the day Fedor is the best cantidate for goat cos he won alot and was around for a long time. When it's all said and done his resume, which is already suspect having not foguth in UFC, could be lame duck ... just havent been alot of HW runs outside of fedor. None in the UFC - hence the title only being defended 3 times. Stipe has an uphill battle thou cos the HW landscape is pretty thin right now ... Fedor might not have fought all of the best guys but there were alot more legit HW's back then ....

..... side note I just watched the post right presser .... WOW STIPE! LOL. That's the best and most marketable he's seemed so far. Absolutely love it!

Fedor's best wins = Big Nog and Cro Cop, whom both were beaten and finished while in their primes by several Fighters. Same with Fedor. In his prime he was finished by Hendo, Big Foot, and Werdum. These are the undisputable facts!
Other than Cain, no one can compare to Stipe at this point. There is no debate, except for a poster that posts on an emotional attachment.

Fedor went undefeated for 10 years when USADA didnt test. That record wont be broken anytime soon!

Although nowadays GSP might be the consensus GOAT, but it's between those two.

Stipe has a long way left to go. Maybe the GOAT HW in the UFC of all time, win over cain will cement that.
 
I’d say at least 5 solid wins without getting rocked anymore and I’ll consider it
 
you can't put down goal posts and say "After this win, he's th greatest". People are too affected by recency bias. When people stop doing amazing things, then you can judge their place in history.

That being said, Miocic doesn't even surpass Junior Dos Santos convincingly, so no.
 
Fedor is the GOAT! Stipe to surpass him needs to beat Cain,DC,Jones and you could say he had the all time hardest competition, or beat Cain and defend that title for the next 5 years against whoever is available great or upper tier. All that seems unlikely since Miocic is 35 already and can get wobbly already. Fedor was champion at 27 and was keeping it untill he was 35 (and he was undefeated in 18 fights as a champion!!!). I dont see Stipe hanging on for more then 2-3 fights regardless of competition, time is ticking away.

Fedor was out of his prime. Hendo is no joke and weighed a hefty mass and had a lot of supplements running in his body.

Fedor has got to survive the bellator HW tourney, the most prestigious spectacle he's been a part of to be a part of that discussion.

Miocic best 5 wins are on par with Fedors. He has him longevity though, against a lot of cans no less
