I don't care how many times I watch this, there's something magical about the way Chandler picks up Lloyd Woodward and just ragdolls him mid-air with a hip throw.

As specific of a takedown as it is, it's actually a named throw in Judo.

Maybe the best simultaneous take down into a submission (competing with some of Rousey’s wins), but certainly not the best of either category individually. Think about it… Absent of the submission, would that suplex really be all that impressive? And then the opposite is true as well; without the takedown, the submission wouldn’t be anything impressive either.

Personally, I absolutely loved this golf swing takedown from Islam against Dustin.

I would say no, just because he was forced to quickly scramble afterwards to complete the takedown. Without the scramble, Poirier gets away. To me, the best takedowns are the ones where there’s no chance of resistance or recovery and requires the least amount of energy expenditure or effort (ala GSP). But that’s just my opinion.

Only good thing Shields is for. He should have lost this fight.

I can’t remember if it was Lombard or Woodley, but there’s a fight where Shields gets ragsolled around a lot with similar throws/hip tosses.
