Did Michael Bisping actually lose his eye or was this a joke?

Not really. Bisping was definitely winning that fight, no question. Anderson had one big moment when Bisping wanted to retrieve his mouthpiece.

Two things, though.

Anderson was clearly the vastly superior fighter in terms of skill who for some reason slow rolled most of the fight. Whenever he turned on the offence it was clear Bisping had no answer, he just didn't turn it on enough. It was oddly similar to the Diaz fight.

A younger Anderson would have executed any version of Bisping.

Anderson should take more risks.

lol.

Read my post again and accept it as truth, because that's what it is.

Fighters don't win on one flurry unless it actually ends the fight.
Thats your opinion. When i watched that fight i seen Bisping being hurt with front kicks and knees. He landed a couple punches while Anderson toyed with him on the cage but he got totally worked. To this day i have no idea other than Bisping being in his home town how he won that fight. Dude got wrecked!

Wait when Bisping is saying you need 20/200 vision to get licensed to fight by the commission and he just barely made it, is he talking about the vision in his good eye or his dead eye? I'm confused.

I'm surprised that the commission would require a fighter to have two working eyes.

He doesn't really say because that ruins the illusion but you have to have at least 20/200 in both eyes. They wouldn't let someone fight with just one eye. Bisping is embellishing the shit out of it by making out like he fought with one eye and somehow gamed the commission because it makes him look better. Roxanne Modafferi can't see shit out of either eye. lol

Look, I didn't get it.

His offense was at so much higher a level Diaz and Bisping were obviously in trouble whenever Anderson opened up. Diaz fought the most defensive fight I have ever seen him fight, even his clowning was pretty low risk.

He got worked that fight. His face was falling off by the end and i was totally confused how the judges gave him that fight. We can agree to disagree but from my perspective Bisping got his ass kicked
He lost the 3rd round and possibly the 5th but he beat Anderson the rest of the fight.
Anderson getting beat up in the 4th while Bisping's face falling off was hilarious.

Hi Cecil

I'll always respect him for scrapping his way back through that legendary KO loss to Henderson. One of the most photogenic finishes I've ever seen. Tough dude, mentally and physically, to recover and prosper since then. He has a fighter's heart, if nothing else. Respect.

Bisping boxed him up for the majority of the fight. You don't win fights because of facial damage from one flurry

Bisping won 3 rounds clearly and Anderson won 2 clearly.

Not a joke. He still beat Anderson though embarrassingly

Anderson did get knocked down like twice early in the fight so he had plenty of reasons to be careful.

He still has his eye ball from what I understand. He just has essentially a thick painted insert. If you watch him take it out it's not a ball. It looks like a really big and thick contact lens.
You're right that he still has the eyeball, it's just damaged beyond repair. But I dunno if the prosthetic eye he pulled out is an indicator of that though. Don't they use that type of prosthetic for all cases now? I don't think they shove literal ball-shaped prosthetics in your head anymore.

I don't know. I would think there would have to be done sort of mass in the socket otherwise you could rub your eye and indent the insert and that it would need something to fit around. No idea.

Oh, normally they leave the muscles and other connective tissue intact if you lose your entire eye, so I assume they might fill it out with something else (that maybe can't be removed at will and can be fitted to the ocular muscles) if they need to make up for any other significant space lost by the eye removal. I liken the prosthetic "glass eye" to getting a cap on your tooth, where it's just a shell that fits over the affected area but isn't a full replacement.

Bisping's hands were too good for Silva. Bisping even dropped him.
