Aldo gave Dana 9 title defenses (2 in WEC, 7 in UFC) to build the FW division as one of the best divisions in MMA.

Conor couldn’t even give Dana a title defense before being stripped.

Max can’t seem to give Dana a 2nd title defense and it’s uncertain whether he’ll be able to make FW again.

Do you think Dana misses Aldo as FW champ?

Aldo was boring and his PPV numbers were pretty bad. He doesn't give a fuck about Aldo.

No, he doesn't. next question.
How many times did Aldo pull out again?

P.s. I'm sure Dana is content Aldo is the past.

Dana knows that Khabib is the answer........

aldo stunk it up in the ufc with some of the most boring performances ever and pulled out of so many title fights (i think it is 6?).

it was as if aldo was taking the mickey out of the ufc doing all that shit.

The forum and most of you idiots did. Then again, you guys mostly take everything for granted here.

Don't think he cares... Just make him money.

They gave aldo a forum when he was champ and then have him opportunities when he wasn’t.

Nah Dana doesn't care... Aldo is a great fighter but past his prime, got injured too much and Dana would rather have Conor/Max/Frankie at the top of FW instead of Aldo

Aldo did not grow the feather division. He was the worst selling champ behind the Mouse. Instead, people grew so pissed off with his point fighting pull out ways that Conor was heralded as the Savior of 45; for the first time ever, people started caring about fighters like Nik Lentz and fights between Cub and Edgar were drawing record breaking numbers. And as soon as Conor KO'd Aldo, he KO'd the festherweights back to the prelime and co-main. Sad but true, as it is one of the most exciting divisions and probably along with 55, the most sta-stack-ed.

Aldo is GOAT - even in his recent losses he was fighting to till the end (Max fights) and never turned his back to run away, stood his ground and fought back.

Holy dumb fucking bullshit, for the most part.

Aldo pulled out pretty frequently during his record title reign, no? I seem to recall Conor and Max having more UFC fights than Aldo did within the same time frame.

He's still a great fighter but he's not the best nowadays. His UFC fights were usually decisions that performed poorly, although he was a part of a few big cards and his win over Mendes in Brazil definitely spurred excitement for the UFC in Brazil.

I'd say he was promoted as well as he could have been. He just wasn't the type to be an active promoter himself. He definitely complained constantly about being treated poorly, but I don't think he was "taken for granted." He was lucky to have the stage he got. Half his career was spent in obscurity. Imagine if his prime ended when the WEC folded. He was fortunate to have a nice long career where he could enjoy the growth of MMA the way he did. He made millions and became world famous. If you asked WEC Aldo if he would be happy with the career he had, I bet WEC Aldo would say FUCK yes. I bet what he made and what he achieved were beyond WEC Aldo's wildest dreams. WEC Aldo was willing to fight anyone for 8 grand in front of 700 people.

Dana doesn’t think much past ppv numbers it seems. Don’t think Aldo made a large impact with Dana.

Fans might have taken Aldo for granted because they wanted more flashy Aldo.

Longevity is one of the defining traits of true greatness. We're just now starting to realize how great GSP and Aldo were.

Aldo never won the FW title on both occasions, he cried and complained until they gifted him the title shot without fighting for it.

Plus, Aldo pulled out of every other title fight.
Horrible post
