Did anybody expect RDA to completely dominate Lawler the way he did?

We´ve never seen Lawler being dominated by anyone the way RDA dominated him.

Did anybody expect that kind of performance?

Thoughts?

Didn't Robbie tear his ACL in that fight though? Pretty sure that had a LOT to do with his performance.

Lawler hasn’t been the same guy for a while. I expected RDA to beat him soundly.

Nope. He's doing really good at WW. That flurry on the fence was insane.

RDA has been pretty consistent in surprising me since he KO’d Bendo, it doesn’t pay to underestimate RDA. Lawlers a warrior, much respect for fighting through his injury. That was a fight where the corner could have thrown the towel in and there would have been no shame in it.

His output and cardio were noted before the fight as his path to victory

and to think, for a long time rda was just the guy stevenson knocked the spit out of.

I didn't expect it and I didn't like it.

Close fight till the injury. End of story

Probably. RDA's leg kicks very vicious during the whole fight.

I think it happened when Robbie was on the ground and trying to get up and did so at a shit angle. Someone posted a gif here and it looked like Robbie did it to himself when he scrambled to get up. Tough break for him.

I thought Robbie's tendency to take rounds off might be his downfall if he didn't get the KO with that RDA pressure.

Since the Condit fight.. Souls were taken that night from both sides but the bodies kept going forwards as shells

Mad respect to RDA for taking the Lawler fight but i just dont see how he wins

Anyone else feel RDA is gonna ko Lawler?

lol two of my more obnoxious predictions for that fight but yeah RDA always been one of my most rated fighters. was predicting him to do well before his first fight at welterweight

Was so pissed when he pulled from the McGregor fight. Was more of a Conor fan back then as well. was hyped for that fight.

And yeah Lawler hurt his knee, because RDA staggered him with an elbow that knocked him off balance(then pushed him over and got top control) while Robbie was trying to tee off on him against the fence, so RDA gets the credit for that.

Lawler is on the downward sloping part of his career. Plus, he busted his knee.

Pete Spratt made him quit. Thats something no?

he performed poorly against Cerrone. it was foreseeable.

that was nowhere near the same calibre Lawler that held the title. Robbie is on the decline considerably. still, was the most exciting WW champ of all time. yet seems to be quickly forgotten. that should tell the UFC something about the importance in having a track record of quality title defenses. GSP's long standing dominance is more valued than Robbie's excitingly but closely contended short reign.
