Lets see here:
He has strong submission skills but lately has been avoiding having to use them.
There is almost no threat of takedown unless its his primary plan to get Conor down. I don't think that he could easily take him down even if he wanted to. He is no RDA and certainly not Mendes when it comes to takedowns.
He has good boxing but does not have strong punches that could hurt Conor.
Now as he goes up to Welterweight, he will be most likely even slower than before. (Nate)
It will be a stand up match and Conor will find his chin sooner rather than later. Conor will start off with spinning sh*t and punches, Diaz will get hurt (body shots and punches to the chin) and after a few more exchanges he will go down.
He is the bigger man in this fight but size does not matter in this fight, skill and power does and McGregor has the upper edge in both. You need to be extremely delusional if you think that one week camp - Nate poses a threat to Conor. This is a tailor-made opponent for Conor to make his resume look even better. He could've chosen Khabib or Pettis for a proper legitimate challenge but decided to choose easy fight that sells (as he is a smart businessman.)
If Nate pulls the upset of the f*cking century i will get a heart attack from the shock. The chances of Nate winning are 100 times smaller than when people thought that Holly would beat Rousey by head kick. I picked Nate to beat Johnson in their last fight but this is a completely different level opponent for Lil Diaz. I don't think that even a full-camp Diaz would pose a big threat to Conor.
