Diaz vs Weidman - I would bet on Nick

he will never become WW champ, and Weidman would destroy diaz quickly

The Weidman nuthuggery in this thread is overwhelming. n00bs.

This is you TS

5'6'' LW champion Sean Sherk wrestled the living hell out of Nick Diaz. A big, powerful wrestler in Weidman will vaporize Nick with wrestling.

Amen to that! Diaz would get pounded badly. I'm suddenly all for this fight!:icon_chee

The term Superfight is way over used here. Weidman or Diaz, none of them qualify for a super fight. Neither does Pettis at this point.

Once Chris defends the belt a few more times, then Weidman-Jones could be called a super fight.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

And I'm a Nick Diaz fan...Weidman would wreck him.

I know it sound crazy, but...

Let's suppose Nick comes back and became WW champion... a superfight with da cris could be possible...

We all know that Weidman can wrestlefuck Diaz, BUT he wouldn't do it because he's very proud, he would try to strike against Nick... and Nick is unbeatable on the feet, he would punish the body of Chris making him gas early...

Diaz 3,4,5

Shit on me if you want

Any wrestler who is starting to not get the better of striking exchanges will usually go for the take down. Weidman would no doubt bang a bit, but he always would have the wrestling to resort to. Diaz has KO power, but he usually doesn't swing for the fences, so he is not as big of a one-punch KO risk as other guys.

Wow, really TS? You're basically admitting that Weidman could obliterate Diaz on the ground and has the ability to take him down and do so, but you're banking on him standing and trading with Diaz and losing? Chris just beat Silva on the feet, I don't see what Diaz has for him anywhere. Maybe if Chris has a terrible gas tank and can't hang in the championship rounds, which I doubt, Diaz could win. Otherwise, Chris would win via stoppage.

I wouldn't even pick him to beat hendricks or Lawler in rematch. Hell, even Woodley could give him problems. If you think Weidman, who arguably could be a top 5 LHW in the future, would have any trouble with Diaz then you are insane.

now i do believe that chris weidman got lucky on both occasions against anderson or at least the man above was looking out for him, but that is against anderson.

the weidman of today would mop the floor with the best version of nick diaz. he probably wouldn't finish diaz, but weidman would rag doll him for 5 rounds.
