McG called retirement, Diaz followed his lead.
McG refused to show which caused Dana to pull him from the card, this prompted a really great tweet from McG which really put the impetus on the UFC... Now, here's where it got interesting, I thought queue Dana, didn't even think of the importance of N.Diaz but wow, didn't this guy show up !
Diaz and McG are playing this game of tennis beautifully and no matter how I look at it, I can only see Dana getting schooled. Amen, they are clearly both United on this front and are not backing down.
On the other hand, if Dana is for real and McG isn't gonna make the card, he should go into full hibernation until after the card, let it drop on its ass and alas he will have proof of his leverage.

Only two half decent things about that pressed were Cain taking the piss of the McG situe and the two girls who no one gives a sht about having beef...
Anything of any interest, inc that of RDA, Aldo, edger, etc - rotated around McG.

Diaz and McG get their wish or go silent and let the UFC bomb.
Amen.

Dana is the one schooling Conor at this point though.

Dana praising aldo at showing up to pressers for the conor fight threw up a flag for me. Dana is trying to remain in control but like you said, ts, since Nate seems to have conor's back in this, its kind of back firing on mr. White. They're turning mr. White into mr. Brown.

If it is a negotiating ploy it is smart. If it turns out that he is ultimately not prepared to risk his golden ticket by facing another opponent then it is a bit of a disappointment. In the event that OSP shocks the world and KO's Jones tonight Dana is in a real tough spot. He would have no main event and would be too proud to go cap in hand back to Conor.

Wonder what the odds of Dana being sacked before the years out are ? Lol

He would strip Conor off his belt, spread news that his win over Aldo is a 13s fluke.
Promote the shit out of Aldo coming back from his first legit loss in 10 years and his previous fight with Edgar being very close decision.

After UFC 200 still make millions, he will fire CM.

You just crazy to think Dana Black will bow to do anyone. He throws everyone under a bus. Everyone.

Cap in hand? You think so?

The UFC finally broke into the mainstream, they aren't gonna pass that up by ditching their poster boy and putting Aldo at the forefront of their plans... I dunno what you know about Aldo and his past but one thing he is not, is a reliable front man / promo King.

I think If you read my message again I said Dana would be too proud to go cap in hand to Conor. As in he would not bow down to him!

Tito was their biggest star and Dana talked shit about him.
GSP was their poster boy AND company man. He got stripped off his title and Dana talked shit about him.
Dana paid big bucks for Shield to jump ship to UFC just to screw with SF, then he threw him under the bus and talked shit about him.

Rampage, Liddell, Couture the list goes on and on.

Dana doesn't gives a shit about his fighter no matter how big or how much revenue they generates. Once you get under his skin for whatever reason, you are out.

The fact that so many fighters are coming out agreeing with Conor doesn't put a positive light on the UFC and makes them look bad. When does promoting become too much? If a fighter needs some extra time to train the UFC should be able to accommodate their fighters. Treating their stars like shit does not equal a win.

Conor schooling Dana lol. The UFC will not fold if Connie doesn't show up. Dana will still be worth 300+ mil and president of the company for as long as he wants to be. Conor has a few mil in the bank, but if he wants to keep living the life, he'll have to fight again. He'll have to bow down, kiss the ring and take his medicine. He's already missing out on one 10+ million dollar payday. When he comes to the bargaining table the next time, the UFC will have his balls in a vice. Dana wins this game in the end.

Conor never called retirement. He made a snarky, sarcastic remark. Diaz never called retirement. He recognized the Twitter remark for what it was, and made a remark that was equally sarcastic, to emphasize that it was not to be taken seriously.

Are all MMA fans brain-damaged?

Nate isn't very articulate but he's very intelligent.

And why does that make you feel good? Are you anyway affiliated with Zuffa? Does UFC's terrible treatment of its fighters help the sport?
