Describe how you see Lawler / Thompson happening

I see Lawler doing what he does best, and making this a dogfight.

First couple of mins of the first round will be a feeling out process in which nothing significant happens, then Robbie will get tired of this shit and lunge forward landing strikes on Thompson while eating perfectly timed counter-punches from Thompson.

Around the end of the first round, Thompson will land a clean hard shot on Lawler's face, and Lawler will give Wonderboy a psychotic smile. "It's on !", he telepathically communicates to him.

The more Lawler abandons defense for the sake of landing strikes on Thompson, the more combinations he will be going to eat. One thing I have noticed from the McDonald fight is that Thompson counter-strikes with combinations, not just single punches/kicks.

The back and forth will keep going until Lawler's body shuts off. He will be knocked out cold by Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson.

Hypothetically, what if Wonderboy took it to the ground what would happen then? Neither is known for their awesome submissions or grappling, but some part of me wants to see who would win a bjj match. Stephen is bigger, lankier and is maybe stronger?!?? Those might help in a grappling match but Robbie is extremely tough and resilient so it'd be interesting to watch.

On a serious note, Stephen by unanimous decision or Robbie by fourth round ko.

Robbie is great at striking in the pocket and Wonderboy is excellent at picking shots at a length out and keeping fighters at bay with both his at times unorthodox hands and really effective kicking game.

But I see Robbie catching Wonderboy the same way Rory had a few good shots connect but Lawler packs a lot of fucking power. Imo he could rock and finish Wonderboy and not in a lucky way. With full game plan and intention.

Fights starts. Lawler stalks Wonderboy down but he can't cut him off. Wonderboy chips away at Lawler with kicks. Lawler gets countered alot but still presses forward. Mid rounds Lawler is landing more but still behind. Final round and Wonderboy gets hit my a blitz and is hurt. Wonderboy is dazed and his palms are sweaty. Knees are weak and arms are heavy. Lawler is spaghetti.
