I thought it was shocking that Roufus let CM Punk throw any kicks at all. As soon as punk literally threw 1 kick right away in the fight I immediately said to myself "Never throw that again" I could actually see it would be bad for his health to throw kicks that bad and sloppy with no power.. so how could Duke see that shit and even once let Punk know that kicks were a part of the plan? I think Roufus has to be a shit coach. Has to be. I never got over that Punk fight, granted Punk is dogshit and I'd knock his head off myself, but as i say, the kicks and a few techniques were so bad that any good coach should have eliminated those tools from his arsenal!
Duke Roufus is actually a great coach.
I trained with him in Thailand back in the day. Tough fighter.
One of the best striking coaches today easily.
His problem however, is that he is a giant greedy asshole similar to Winkeljohn and Jackson.
My bet is he knew right away CM Punk would not win any fight no matter how much he trained him, so he milked him for a couple fights.
No he's not. He would get destroyed by guys who didn't make it on the olympics team. He is not an elite wrestler, he would get crushed by B league wrestlers.
My brain automatically read this wrong the first time and thought you said he had the record for most spinsYou realize Askren won two Hodge trophies which is basically the Heisman in collegiate wrestling and holds the record for most pins right? You're seeing 35 year old Askren. 28 year old Askren was much better.
