When i think about Maia, i think about the fact that he has 2 of the worst title fight i've seen in my life (Woodley and Anderson).

One of the greatest Grapplers , if not the greatest. I think he along with the likes of Cowboy and Diego will get in on solid long and respectable careers, although Diego and Cowboy produced more crowd pleasers.

is that really HOF worthy? there’s about 20 or 30 guys who aren’t in the HOF right now who deserve it over maia. obviously that doesn’t exclude him from eligibility but there are better inductees looming.

he's not going to retire with most subs in UFC history... he lost that to a young cat who actually became champ. Maia is one of my favorites because of his persona and humbleness, but HOF should be the cream of the crop, not just one of the best in a single martial art.

Absolutely. He has resurged himself later in his career at a heavier weight class.
He doesn't turn down fights. He has the heart of a lion. And durability like I'm learning most "true martial artists" have. He defines the term. He's who we should be idolizing. That guy, as a person, is one of the best role models we could have.

Yeah I'd definitely put him in the UFC HoF. Probably the most consistently good fighter to last 14 years in the UFC.
