Demetrious Johnson is the baddest man on the planet...

Meh, you can't train size so its not impressive. With DJ everything he has is from hard work and training and that's why he's the best fighter in the world in my and in many other's opinions.

1. Size is something that can be trained to a certain extent. Not height, but certainly weight and strength. I understand your point though.
2. Just because something cannot be trained does not mean it is not impressive.
3. Johnson may be the most skilled fighter in the world, but he is objectively not the best fighter in the world simply by virtue of the fact that 90% of the UFC roster beats him.
4. I think Johnson deserves a ton of credit and respect for the fighter he has become in the past several years. He is truly one of the greats.
5. Despite his greatness, the points people make about his size cannot be entirely ignored. That's not bias, it's physics.

Weight classes exist so MMA could get sanctioned, become mainstream and get taken off the Indian reservations where they used to be held. In the old days there were no weight classes, and several hundred pounds difference could easily happen, and no the larger man did not always win, the better skilled figvietually]

That was before eceryone was cross training in multiple disciplines too.if we went back to the old days, virtually everyo below MW would be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

This is the most incorrect statement in all of mma.

Even 'Ben Askren being entertaining' is less delusional.

You haven't watched an Askren fight in the last 5 years. His fights have been great for a long time.

I'll admit that it's probably because of the level of competition though.

Well he might be the baddest gamer on the planet, and not in the good way

DJ nuthuggers need to realize the more they try to shove his greatness down people's throats the more they hate him.

Regardless of size, MM will never be considered the best purely because of the quality of competition.

There are fighters in other divisions ranked outside the top 5 in their divisions who are facing far better quality opposition on a regular basis.

Just like people got carried away by Ronda beating Soccer moms and calling her the best in the world.

I mean ffs I could go into an elderly peoples home, beat the shit out of some 90 year blind dudes who can't even wipe their own ass, Go 90-0 and undefeated. Sure on paper its a better record but it means fuck all as soon as you compare it to people who actually fight good quality opposition.

Jones with no testing is the baddest known man on the planet. Some dude locked away in prison somewhere is probably the baddest

Baddest manlet on the planet, you mean. He'd get his ass handed to him anytime he fought an adult sized person.

.....at 125lbs, the smallest weight class there is in MMA.

Bulshit!

Baddest man on the planet must be a HW. Or a smaller guy, but fighting and winning at HW.

DJ is just a fighter protected by the creation of the weight classes. In an openweight division, he would be destroyed by bigger guys, no matter how talented he is.

Worst man on the Planet

Baddest

As in Least Good

Only in game of thrones is a deformed midget a badass. And that little shit has a best friend who owns fierce dragons

If Space Jam happened in MMA, and we had to rely on one fighter to defend planet earth against the fighter from the Monstars...MM wouldn't even be on the long list, let alone the short one (where Stipe, DC, Jon Jones with Coke, etc...are)

It's sufficient to say he's arguably the most skilled and best P4P fighter in the world. But just leave it at that.

Please can we stop overrating someone who hasn't fought exceptional competition?
