What's the deal with this stuff? I heard this stuff mentioned recently and have no idea why, is this the new snake oil if the day?

Yeah, I got no clue either. But been a lot of talk about it recently.

Spray it on in late summer and, by autumn, rut on.

Huffers beware, though. Inhale too much of this stuff and you'll get velvet lung.

Yea, I have golf on in the background and just heard Vijay Sighn (sp) got busted taking it. I also heard Ray Lewis talking about it too.

The Ray Lewis thing started it off I believe.

Then Vijay actually went to the officials and admitted his use, he didn't know it was banned.

That's funny I was asked about this product last night.
I got nothing.

I was looking for a replacement to my formally over the counter pro-hormones. I miss you Novadex.

Have you tried Chimp Ball Sweat?

Yeah it first hit the news when word came out that Ray Lewis was using it to recover from his injury. There was also some talk about Alabama football players using it. It isn't banned per se, but contains some banned chemicals.

Anyways, from everything I have read and heard it seems like it doesn't do much if anything

I don't know, a 37 year old Ray Lewis took 2 months to come back from an injury that usually takes 6 months.

IGF-1 growth factors.

It sounds silly but deer antler velvet is highly fucking effective...so long as you have the right potency and dose (like everything else in the industry most are underdosed)

Deer antler spray is the new tiger blood.

And what is it with golfers snitching on themselves?

Its a scam product. If it actually worked, there is no way you could find it for like $15 a bottle.

Even if Ray Lewis did use deer antler spray his body would have never absorbed the banned substance its manufacturer says gives the product its potency, a Johns Hopkins professor said.
----------------
Dr. Roberto Salvatori, who runs a lab studying growth hormone deficiency and has been on the Hopkins faculty since 1998, said there is no scientifically accepted way to deliver IGF-1 orally.

Can someone explain this deer antler spray? Are they crushing up the antlers or what the fuck are they doing?

Also, this:

IGF-1 has been shown to produce similar results to those found when taking GH in healthy adults, such as enhancing muscle development and reducing muscle breakdown. However, these subjects were given 100 micrograms of IGF-1 per kilogram of body weight two times per day in addition to 10 micrograms per kilogram of body weight every hour 16 hours thereafter. A 154 pound (70 kg) man would need to consume 25.2 million nanograms of IGF-1 per day to have the same effects as taking growth hormone.

So how many nanograms are in each dose of dear antler velvet? The same leading manufacturer who made all the claims above indicates

It is made from the velvet that covers the antlers as they are developing, not the antler itself.

The company also sells athletic performance holograms and bracelets, so i doubt they are big on scientific research.
