Decades from now, will Conor be remembered as one of the biggest stars in the UFC or #50?

Which memory will dominate?

#50

EDIT: #50 is a reference to him being the 50th win on Mayweather's record.

One of the biggest stars in the UFC. Definitely.
A couple of breakthroughs that already are written in the history books.

Haters that accuse him now of whatever will not be remembered, neither their opinion

But they're going to flood this thread in 3...2...1...

Depends on what he does with the rest of his MMA career, actually kind of interesting point. Of course all of us know Conor's story, but to the mainstream he is the MMA guy that got whooped by Floyd.

Side show star. Spoon fed, which worked out great because he has real talent.

Nope. Unrelated.
When you look at history, accomplishments count, not the demise.
And Conor already has breakthrough accomplishments.

but to the mainstream he is the MMA guy that got whooped by Floyd.

To the mainstream, he's the 0-0 boxer and an MMA fighter that did better in a match with the best of his era than most.
But to MMA, he will be what he will be.

There are few things he has accomplished which you can't completely brush off.

One having been a concurrent 2 weight class champ

I’d say one of the biggest. I don’t really see MMA growing too much more. Meaning it’ll grow gradually with the times but boom period will be minimal. It (UFC)already matches WWE and Boxing in ppv Numbers (roughly). Unless Bellator or another promotion give ufc competition ala WWF/WCW or the various boxing promoters I don’t see the UFC taking any big risks to grow.

I could be wrong and a bunch of superstars come through and make McGregor numbers look like peanuts but I think in 50-70 years time after inflation adjustment his numbers will stack up

If this is the end of it then he will be remembered as the biggest talker who never backed it up.

Conor will be remembered when all others have been forgotten.

One of the great stars. If not the highest selling. Dude isnt even 30.

He just fought in a boxing main event that made him $100 Mil when the dude he was fighting (at Conors age) was an undercard to Oscar.

Yeah. Hes done a lot of great shit.

' Same, if HE does not defend. You are a Champ after you defend what you've won as the Belt. None yet in his respectful career. '

Honestly i fucking hate him but his KO of Aldo is legendary

That said his refusal to defend any belt is fast becoming a joke

He's clearly a legend in hype, but in GOAT discussions he isnt even close to having a seat at the table

I don’t get the number 50 thing?

that don't matter RRR is a bigger "star" then most anyother fighter to have fought in the UFC and Conor might be above her now. They may only remember the loss but they will still be remembering him and that just shows how fucked this WME star power ran UFC is.

If this is the end of it then he will be remembered as the biggest talker who never backed it up.

People will look at his accomplishments and will think he never backed it up?

You're delusional.
