Dead Horse that needs a beating... Did Hendricks tap vs. GSP?

Ugh the person who said it’s a rap is dumb, but this thread is pretty dumb too

More important question....how did the judges score that fight for Georges, when literally almost EVERY mma media outlet scored the fight for Hendricks?

Hendricks clearly won the first round because he almost knocked GSP out with standing elbows.
Yes, almost knocked him out. I suppose when you watch baseball a pop up to the 2nd baseman is almost a home run.

Pretty simple, Rogan had some of his worst viad broadcasting ever that swayed public opinion, was losing his shitnevery time Hendricks threw a punch whether it landed or not.

Large majority of sherdoggers scored it for GSP after re watching the bout a 2nd time.

I love when people use MMA Media as an authority.

you really trust guys like this about combat sports?

why do we keep debating on a fight that was already awarded as gsp being the winner.

there is no debate on who won, yes hendricks did more visual physical damage, but on points and scoring system the judges viewed as gsp edging out the decision to win, simply put hendricks didn't win that fight, because if he did then he would have walked out champion that, I recall he didn't.

also lets face it, hendricks was clearly on something, he agreed to do extra testing then backed out, yet gsp still went ahead and did it and still beat him. After usada was implement hendricks looked and fought alot different than his gsp fight...funny gsp even came back after over 4 years off and still performed better under usada than hendricks, after hendricks lost to gsp he had his good fights with lawler but after that he went to shits, and now look at him, he's a nodoby, cut from the ufc, doing bare knuckle fighting desperate for a pay day.

fans still talking about his fight with gsp or whether he won or not, need to give it a rest and accept the fact that hendricks lost, no matter what anybody or tv/media station think, the fact is gsp left with his belt therefore he won....were not debating on "who should have won"....people keep saying hendricks won, no he didn't he lost, proper grammar would be hendricks should have won....but don't matter anyways because he lost then looked like shit until the ufc cut him, now he's a nobody, in my eyes he'll be remembered as the guy who kept whining out his lost to gsp and performance questioned after usada was implemented, he may not of got caught but he had weight issues and physically didn't look the same or perform after the stricter testing began in the ufc, even him refusing after agreeing for the gsp fight is really shady in my book.

Unfortunately it’s how the world works, if you bring in the $$$ then somehow the judges see things differently.

Can you believe one of the judges in McGregor vs Mayweather had the fight 10 rounds to 0 for Mayweather when Floyd threw a total of 6 punches in the first 3 rounds?

GSP vs Hendricks is one of the biggest robberies in mma history and I don’t think Dana liked that GSP retired after receiving that gift.

The argument for GSP winning is conceivable. This isn't the worst robbery ever, it's sort of on the same level as Penn-Edgar 1.

I am gonna stop whining about this decision. My only hope for the hardcore GSP fans out there is that they can except that with a different set of judges the result could have different. There is definately statistical merit for Hendricks winning the fight as fight metric and a huge percentage of Media people thought he won. Those people aren't biased fans either. It's there job they definitely know more about scoring fights then biased fans, either bias toward Johny or bias towards Georges.

And lastly, I am guessing that GSP fans who are saying Johny tapped are just trying to ruffle up feathers on here. There is no fucking way that was a tap. So ridiculous to say that. Georges didn't say it, his team didn't, no credible media people or experts said it. so yeah i just wanted to start this thread to clear the air on that.

You can’t tap to a choke that was fully let go a second earlier. Some of you people really need glasses.

Although I’m confident 99% of those who say he tapped are just insecure troll GSP fans who know he deserved to lose the decision.
He was tapping to GSP’s aura. A lot of sherdoggers do too.

The question is if the fight had been called there would it have been reasonable ? If the ref had seen it and called the fight I think most people would have said Hendricks tapped.

It looks to me like a panic neck crank tap. The other option is a fake tap. Only Hendricks knows what happened.
I don't think it would of been reasonable my man. think that there would of been alot of pissed off fans and media people. There likely would of been an immediate rematch set up.

Sure some casual fans who don't know scrambles or BJJ defense would of gone along with it, but the real fans wouldn't.

Anyone that thinks he tapped needs to stop watching MMA
You should stop watching MMA.

It's clear that he did tap.

Whether it was some weird hand motion or he wanted GSP to let go is the real question.

giphy.gif

But you can't deny that he was tapping with his hand. And I honestly don't know why he would do that unless he wanted GSP out of that position.

The fight was close as hell. It could have gone either way. The only disappointment I had with that fight was with GSP retiring and cheating us out of a rematch.

round 1 could have gone either way. GSP and Hendricks each won 2 rounds easily. No round was close to 10-8.

1 3 5 gsp imo...IIRC

He was landing well in the first and had the choke attempt

But the fight was very close...as close as any fight like romero vs Whitaker 2 close

Had that for whitaker..BTW

The 5th round decided it and thats GSPs round..hendrick was absent the whole round and gsp put ona vintage champ performance after having a rough 4 th round

He made several tapping motions with his right hand. Everyone can see it plain as day.
You can take it any way you want but that is what I just saw.

Also notice when he taps the ref is on the other side and can't see it.

Hendricks was in a bad position and this could have easily been a way for him to trick GSP into thinking he's giving up so that he could get out of that position.
