News De La Hoya: Chuck and Tito will make the most money of their careers

So … it's all been about money this whole time

Sell outs

Certainly, but that doesnt change the fact that DLH's going to lose big on this freakshow.

Do you think he's invested a lot in this venture?

I wonder what his exposure is.

A male pornstar will make his biggest paycheque shagging a 75yr old fat businessman on camera, and comparative pennies railing the worlds hottest female pornstar.

Money is not everything.

I mean, I hope so ... but I don't know. Tito was getting paid pretty decently in Bellator already, and while Chuck missed the real big money stuff he was still getting taken care of as champ. If Golden Boy is just paying them millions up front, I think De La Hoya is gonna be disappointed.

That’s good.

Oscar was a fighter himself he’s no keyboard warrior like Dana.

Props to Oscar for giving them that payday.

The price to see Saturday's third meeting between former UFC champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortizhas been lowered. Golden Boy MMA: Liddell vs. Ortiz now costs $39.99, down $10 from the original price. Also, there is a special Black Friday promotion set for this week to get the event for just under $20.

Hard to believe if they keep lowering the PPV price.

yeah, I smell bs. are they even making money with this card? @FrankieNYC

I don't see how it comes close to breaking even
I know both fighters are getting a cut of PPV from buy #1, but as we seen with all the discounts & closing the top of the arena, the interest is not there.

I'm guessing Oscar made that statement believing he had a huge PPV

For the record:
affliction & Bellator never made money off of their PPV's & i doubt this does as many as theirs did (near 100k)

Heck i oversold it. It was 2 million.

The sale is remarkable considering that brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta bought the organization in 2000 for $2 million.

It was $2 Mil, but think about what they actually got at the time. The company had almost no assets, it's not like buying a manufacturing company that has facilities, machines, and trucks. They pretty much paid $2 mil for the letters UFC. At the time it was a known brand but it also had a lot of baggage as well.

The real investment came later with all the money they pumped in after buying the company. I remember Dana saying they were $44 million in the hole when the first TUF final aired and they were like this thing has to start making money soon.
