Fights I have accurately predicted include
  • Bisping over Rocksalt
  • Woodley over Thompsonboy
  • Both Conor vs Nate fights
And they were all fights where everyone was saying the other guy will win. I'm sure there's lots more I got right don't quite remember now.

Same in this fight though most people probably about 80% are picking Stipe.

Revive this thread after the fact. And if I'm wrong I will leave sherdog forever!

Oh I could count on one hand.

I only tend to predict the big fights. If I don't know then I will say I don't know. But in this fight i got a feeling.

Were gonna have a new HW champion!

”Big belly”, come on, that’s just stupid.

DC will sure try to put it on Miocic. Come at him with fast hooks over the top and clinch, grind him against the cage. Get a takedown, keep his weight on Stipe and land some GNP.

DC can win, of course. Miocic is the favourite for a reason though. The boxing, power, footwork, wrestling.. It’s all there.

We’ll see.

Its not improbable that DC could win but the cards are stacked against him. Stipe has solid cardio, a granite chin and decent wrestling as well as one shot KO power.

DC has decent cardio, a great chin and stellar wrestling. However, he will give up size and mass, and is 40 years old. He only has 2 actual KO's on his record so he will definitely be at a power disadvantage. This is a guy that clinch fucked an out of shape undersized Anderson Silva rather than trade with him.

I think Stipe fends off DC's clinch for the first two rounds and finished him in the 3rd via strikes.

Guess we will see. Either way it should be a great fight.

Stipe is nothing more than a poor mans Kharitonov with a single leg.

Yes but sometimes you have to throw stats and logic out the window. E.g. Rockhold on paper is a much better fighter than Bisping even had a win over him already. But sometimes you just get that feeling. And it ends up going the opposite of what you might think.
