Let's face it, DC's career is all time top 10 and if he beats Stipe then he will be top 5. But, to be the GOAT, he would have to defend his HW title at least once and defend either title he holds at least 2 more times(without losing in between) and then I'd say he was the GOAT over Fedor and GSP, Anderson, DJ, etc... He's basically the only undefeated fighter in history that went on that kind of run. His one loss to JJ doesn't count for shit IMO. It's garbage. His 2nd fight(not loss, but fight) with JJ, it's beyond garbage to the point it will never even enter the record books. This coming from a fan of DC but not a huge fan. I know it sounds totally unrealistic because he has like 4 fail substances already but I keep seeing this narrative from Dana / Joe / Brendan / Jeff N. etc that make it seem they are in the know and the penalty could be something like 18 months or something short like that.

They are trying to soften up the landing they are getting people ready in a way.

So me thinks USADA ain't that 'holier than thou' I've been thinking for a long time something is off with that all angle of cracking down on drugs from people that rub shoulders with other people that make the same drugs they are suppose to be cracking down on but that's another talk all this drug testing for athletes seems like just PR.

Let's see what they do with this case normally this is a 4+ years suspension.

I agree with everthing you said in the OP. With that said, I've personally done coke on occasions, but have also turned down steroids. Something about messing with my hormones doesn't sit right with me in the long term.

Personally don't think the competition either DJ or GSP faced was of the caliber of Jones (exuding the failed test for the moment) - especially the methods of victory, he beat them at their own games regularly.
