DC looking fat as hell for 226

in the first pic he's with more 8 pounds and not flexing

True. I wasn't comparing the pics so much as using it as an example. Someone said he looked better now than he did before and I find that nuts. He was more muscular in the chest and shoulders back in his Strikeforce HW days. He now looks to me like a lot of old athletes who have their chest fall to their stomach.

He's not flexing in this one and even standing sideways, I can see a big difference in the chest and back with less flab around the stomach.

Whether that makes a difference in the fight, I have no idea.

Dude looks fat, Rampage at heavyweight has a better physique.

People age? Hes fine. Im more confident he wins now actually.

Of course they do. That's the point. I was replying to the guy who said he looks better at HW now than he did before when he was younger. I think he needs glasses.

Bu-bu-but DC is such a small LHW!!! He only lost to Jones multiple times due to Jon being so much bigger than him and full of steroids!!

DC is slightly over weight. It's pretty clear all his extra subcutaneous fat goes to his stomach. The guy would be lean as hell if he lost 25 lbs.

He always looks fat. I don't get it...how can you be that fat with all that training.

His body type+frame and im betting all that metabolic damage and kidney failure from all those years of cutting added significantly to it as well. Also, he loves to eat.

I don't follow you. He was 41 lbs lighter at LHW and still didnt look lean as hell. heheh He's just got a bad body type is all. We all know people who can eat like pigs and look great while someone else just looks at food and gains 5 lbs. DC is that latter guy.

I have no idea if it will make any difference against Stipe. It could if he's replaced his old HW muscle with more fat but we'll only be able to tell that after the fight and even then we'd just be guessing that it made a difference.

First of all, I think its BS when people say that it would be impossible for him to cut down to middleweight and there's no way he could get lean and have abs. If you consider what people have went through down through history, the extremes of concentration camps, Christian Bale dieting down for "The Machinist", etc., of course with the help of a top notch nutritionist and the laws of physics and biology, he could get down to 10% or less body fat...in theory. Fighters run into problems when they try to do it through crash diet and dehydration rather than at a healthy rate through liftestyle changes. ALL THAT BEING SAID, there are some bodytypes that hold fat easier, healthier, and retain functionality better than others. Cormier has proven that he has a certain musculature that soaks up excess calories and makes the most of it. His muscles are a sleeping giant mass of twisted explosive fast twitch muscle fibers ready to explode on someone's ass. All they need is to get those mitochondrial energy storehouses full of ATP, courtesy of full and happy fat cells surrounding them. You see fat. I see a thick chunk of sinewy muscles with a bit of caloric insurance...insurance his body happens to know how to make the most of. If his leg doesn't hinder him, I'm feeling better about my parlay at the moment.

Thinly veiled gay post

DC was water weight cutting from HW to LHW. For this fight he didn't have to water weight cut before hitting the scales. I am talking about an actual loss of fat and not just a water loss.
