Wow that was tense haha I can see where Lopez would get annoyed rewatching a fight where analysts don't know what went on in preparation, but folks can't reasonably announce fights from less of a vacuum than they do already. They aren't there to promote his brand. Without mentioning names, I've crossed paths with MMA coaches with similar dispositions and insecurities -- Lopez is not the only dude to get overly defensive of this sort of thing. I'm certainly not a fan of it, but I get it.

in his defense, he's now put up two title contenders in a very short span, both of whom have for the most part cleaned out the division in arriving there. Rarely do we see a singular coach do that outside of a major mma team. it's impressive and he seems to have a lot to say. I don't mind his presence.

If I trained UFC I'd never want a coach like Lopez no matter how great he is. Coaches are almost always better in the background. Let your work do the talking

And he's spent two years shitting on one of them and creating false narratives. I'll give more credit to Gane and Francis than Fernand, despite him seemingly wanting most of it. Francis has gotten so much better since he's away from that team.
