He's definitely looked impressive. I would have rather seen him fight Dariush however, such a victory would have done more to warrant a title shot.

Homer commentary sucks. Fans are tuning in for a at least somewhat unbiased take. DC has none when it comes to his teammates.
It should've been Islam vs Dariush, that would've been a top contender fight. RDA is lower ranked, hasn't done well lately. Split over Felder and 2 losses before that. Chandler vs Gaethje is a higher ranked fight.

What has Chandler done?
He won against Hooker who came from a loss and got a title shot.
Let's be honest. Ferguson made all of them top 5 fighters.
Dariush, Oliveira and Gaethje all won against Ferguson who isn't even a top 15 fighter.
They used a fighter who is not even top 15 to give all these guys a good spot.

That's not an exaggeration. Tony Ferguson will loose to any fighter in the top 15 right now.
Respect for his past. But he is nowhere near what he was before.
