DC’s career has eclipsed Jon’s career

I don't care about a amateur wrestling carreer. Nobody could defeat Jones and he would destroy DC on any night again. Close thread
 
Maybe. But DC still lost twice to Jones, and Jones still has five years left.
 
If you don't count roids as a negative I would say Jones is a bit above DC but equally DC has beaten guys like Rumble and Stipe who present a difference challenge to anyone Jon has faced.
 
How does Stipe and two gimme fights at HW (counting Brock) beat Jon's run through prime LHW murderer's row? DC never even legitimately won the belt at LHW.

Romero beat Cael Sanderson 2-1 btw. So Romero's career eclipsed DCs

Jon Jones is still better than Cormier, beat more UFC champions than him (Shogun, Rampage, Machida, TRT Belfort, Daniel Cormier 2x), deal with it. He just isn't a two weight champion because he is a coward lol

Not saying that everyone he beat was in their individual prime, only that the division as a whole was in its prime. LHW was in a golden age back then.

And as far as roids go, everyone could've been (and probably was) roiding pre-USADA when it was only a pre- and post-fight pee test. If you discredit Jon for that, literally every other UFC could be discredited as well.

Okay. So he has one win over DC, knocked him out once and still has more fights left than DC. Jon has the potential to eclipse DC.

Of course he could also lose to Gustafsson, and at that point he's in trouble with the fanbase, who are just going to see Jones as a fighter who can't compete off the juice.

It’s hilarious that people think my argument is based on his amateur career. It is part of the story though like Lebron’s high school career or Ichiro’s career in Japan or every boxers Gold Glove accomplishments or Royce’s BJJ accomplishments etc. I could go on. A fighters career does not begin with his first UFC fight and end with his last.

When youre caught cheating it should negate any success youve had while cheating.
When youre caught cheating multiple times, and given multiple chances how could anyone take you seriously.
That goes for any sport or activity in life.
Jones should be embarrassed everytime he opens his mouth but he needs the money and so does the UFC so theyll just smile and keep bullshitting.
 
DC has had better career up to this point but Jon Jones is the much better fighter.

DC's LHW championship achievements????? Their is only one reason he has any and EVERYONE knows it including him. Also Jones number of title defenses against a murderors row of competition at LHW and the icing that takes the cake is that he has TWO wins over DC one by KO stoppage in the third round. So DC being such a great fighter who has achieved alot in MMA only enhances Jones legacy, however DC's achievements at HV are not better then Jons achievements at LHW. DC needs to beat Jones because those two loses are the only blight on his career he needs to correct that to be ahead of Jones when it is all said and done. Especially now that Jones is back and is able to build on his wins and legacy moving forward. And remember Jon is younger and has more time to achieve and add to his legacy then DC. Drug/PED scandals aside Jon is above DC in terms of Achievements at the MMA level when you look at the matter objectively.
