David Rickles vs Davi Ramos on the 130 undercard, while on 129 main event I see Joe Vedepo vs Davin Clark... Seriously?

David Rickles is one of the most tv-aired fighters in Bellator, and is decently memorable... and Davi Ramos is a REAL 155lb prospect worthy of some hype if he were to get beyond David Rickles.

Sometimes things like this confuse me :\

Anyways, Rickles vs Ramos is a good fight, and 130 is pretty stacked...

COOOOOOOKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

he wouldn't go to 129 to be on a less hyped card and not in his hometown if that's what you were hoping and all the main card fights are better. It'll still be aired. he just got ko'd his last time out. no need for a main card spot

You dont know the difference between a weak card and a decently stacked one?

Dominick Cruz vs Takeya Mizugaki was on the prelims of the last UFC PPV, the previous PPV had Yancy Medeiros vs Damon Jackson leading off the PPV.

Plus, this is very much a tune-up fight (no disrespect to Davi Ramos), but after getting KTFO in 2 of his last 3 fights, the Caveman could use a can or two.

That said, if Ramos beats Rickels, is he done? I don't need to see that, honestly.

I did not know Davi Ramos was transitioning to MMA. For those who don't follow BJJ, Davi is a badass. Here's a cool vid of him breaking Jeff Monson's arm faster than hell:

(break occurs about 3:10)

I told y'all a while back om the new signings thread. Maybe I should start signing my posts so it sticks better.

BTW, this is a good fight, although Ramos is biting off oddly a lot for his debut. I'm not a fan of Bellator's matchmaking under Coker. He makes a lot of matches which don't make sense.

It's not a tune-up fight as Ramos is not a can. He's a bonafide prospect. He may be odds on to win this fight, whether the betting line reflects it or not. You're being ignorant.

Makes sense to me. Rickels is going to draw a lot of ticket sales. They'll most likely put his fight on after the main event for the local crowd only.

My fear is that it'll be dark. A dumb move if they go that direction.

Let's say a main card bout falls through- do you promote this fight, the Caldwell fight, or the Orapeza fight? I say it's a toss up between Caldwell and Caveman.

I've seen all twelve of Rickels fights within the organization. He is one of the "faces" of Bellator.

This is, without a doubt, a UFC-level fight.

He's at home in this card. They prob want him to sell tickets. He'll prob be a dark bout.

Think what you want, but going from winning a tourney, and fighting for the title to going against a guy in his 5th mma fight is SUPPOSED to be a tune up.

I'm not saying it's a lock, and I'm not even saying Caveman will win, but he's supposed to.

I also doubt that this will end up being a dark match.

He JUST got KTFO in the opening round of a tourney. He won one a while ago but got ktfo in the title fight. Davi Ramos is legit this isn't a tune up. This is a serious fight and if rickles loses he could be out of Bellator.

If they're looking for fun fights and getting asses in the seats in KS then letting Rickles go would be a mistake.

but do they do one of the 12 shows they have in KS is the question and I figure rickles has a pretty hefty salary and he's been losing. Plus they got Lashley for KS shows too. We'll see. But the roster has to be trimmed. I don't think he will get cut but nobody is safe. Would like to see him fight Burley.

A lot of fans come out for the Caveman. I was shocked how many were at Bellator 40. Janjira Muay Thai section was big and boisterous.

Never cared for Rickles.

He's gotten lucky in too many fights and acts like a world beater.

It's obvious he's just a tough dude with not enough talent to really hang with the elite.
