Darren Till vs Derek Brunson

I don't know who will win because I still have no idea how good Till is. 90 percent of his relevant fights go to a controversial decision, so I'm not sure how anyone can have any guage on how good he is. He's either very good, or he's just one of those guys who is good at neutralizing his opponent, and thus it's just difficult to look good against him, hence all the close fights.

Derek Brunson via Full UnderDog
Derek vs Darren, Inderesting match up

Brunson has looked solid and really amped up as betting underdog in past several while Till is 1-3 in past 4 . Yet, Darren a decent favorite in a fight where I thought fight would be in that pick em neighborhood.
Till has some 185 experience and is fresh and like the styles . Brunny has beaten some supposed up and comers in his streak so people tend to get tunnel vision with 4 in a row ( which is why Darren a -165, -175 fave)

I'm expecting Darren to finish Brunson inside of 2 rounds ......maybe ..maybe early 3rd.

This is a great fight for Till and if he cant handle a 38 year old Brunson then might have to start making that laborious cut agsin.

Till via UD is surely a lock. I’ll be gambling on Derek by TKO just for value.

I have no idea who will win this. Till was able to control Gastelum in the clinch briefly and shuck off most of his TDs, but Brunson is bigger, stronger, and arguably a better MMA wrestler. Bobby went 2 of 13 with his TDs against him and didn't do anything with his successes in Rd 5. I could see Brunson doing better than Kelvin or Robert and controlling Till on the ground like he did Holland for the first half of the fight and surviving late... or I could see him getting outstruck and pieced up to a Decision/TKO loss.

One thing worth noting is how each guy's last few opponents/camps is actually ideally suited for facing the other. Till has done nothing but train and prepare for aggressive, high-pace wrestle-boxers who would want to take him down (Vettori, Hermansson, Gastelum) since coming to 185 which is worth noting. Conversely, Brunson has spent his tidy little streak embarrassing various technical kickboxers with good footwork and knockout power (Holland, Shahbazyan, Heinisch, Theodorou).

Brunson is a known quantity... we just haven't seen enough of Till. Even at Welterweight, he never faced a high-level MMA wrestler willing and able to ground him repeatedly. Now at 185 he's even more of a ???? in many ways. I have more faith in him than most, but I still have no clue about this fight.
