Till says it's going to be a striking war, but given both men are so proficient in that department do you think it could end up a chess match?

Who's your early pick?

Wonderboy can make it a Chess Match... The question is, will he?

I think the Boos from the Woodley fight have sobered Thompson...

Stephen Thompson is a completely different animal than Donald Cerrone. I have faith he can pull it off though.

I don't know about a war because Thompson is going to outclass Till.

Till has the hands to make it interesting imo.

This is a pretty good striker-vs-striker match up.

"Thompson is going to embarrass and completely outclass Till, he ain't Cerrone, kickboxing world champion!!"

- sherdoggers basing their opinion on Thompson outclassing Masvidal and some wrestlers/average strikers (and a green drained Whittaker)

I'd love to see a "striking war" from these two but with Thompson in the equation I'm expecting more of a game of tag.

Hoping Till gets it done. I've never particularly been a fan of Wonderboy.

I like both guys, but I hope Till wins. I don’t want to see Thompson Woodley 3

Versus Till having a single notable win in a past prime LW that had lost his last two fights prior to that as well, and going to decisions with bottom of the UFC barrel guys. One of them managed to draw with him.

The Till hype is ridiculous, completely unfounded. WB dominating Rory, Mas, and Hendricks IS far and away more impressive than anything Till has ever done.

Till will be looking for a takedown fatser then ending of bell ringing for the 1st round. Whenever the fighter says this kind of thing, they do the complete opposite. Good fight to gauge how far DT is from the very top of the division.

Till might get absolutely fucked up and embarrassed by Wonder boy.

WB has a style that's hard af to train for. Has WB even lost to any strikers in the UFC? Other than Matt Brown he has dominated every striker he's fought.

Perry would have been a more favorable match up/ great fight though, I aint mad.

Rory and his overrated hands, USADA Hendricks who managed to be KO by a head kick from Tim Boetsch and couldn't do much to Lombard.. Meh.
Masvidal is a good win, but he is small and lacks volume and always fights with a lack of urgency that's just disappointing.

Going to decision doesn't mean much, Till dominated and outclassed every opponent he fought, he went to decision against Dalby because he gassed out badly R3, early on it was a complete different fight, and he already fixed his conditioning issues.

Thompson is the overrated here. He's not a "world class kickboxer", this is just a absurd narrative that gets pushed every time he fights (doesn't happen a lot btw).

<NightKingBringIt>

A striking war it shall be then

But I'm calling it now....if Wonderboy gets any kind of uncomfortable in exchanges he will attempt to take Till down.

At the time Johny was 17-2 with both losses being controversial and the majority or entirety of media scoring those fights for him. That was still an amazing performance and win amd far more impressive than anything Till has done.

Rory is top five, wins over Woodley, Maia, Lima, and Ellenberger when he was still good. Again, a far better with than past prime LW Cowboy. Being ranked #7 for beating WW Cowboy and no one else LMAO. You're crazy for thinking WB is the overrated one.

Till won’t outclass wonderboy. If he wins, it will be by forcing exchanges and eating a bunch of accurate shots to land some power shots of his own. Till’s size and youth could work to his advantage.
