Media Darren Till on Pereira: I'm 3 times faster than him. He is slow.

Pathetic or not, this is the only tool the majority of fighters have.
I don't mind it from fighters that are seriously targeting those fighters they are talking about, even if it's not immediate match-up, they are letting them know they want that smoke. But with Till, he can't even make it to fight day. He needs to actually not pull out first, get an impressive win, and then start talking shit again.

Thanks, what explains his decline in your view?

Was he highly rated before Woodley because no-one knew he had a glass jaw or has he actually declined in other areas?
I just don’t think he was ever that good. Not many people were really paying attention to him until he fought Cowboy. He destroyed a much smaller Cerrone who is a notorious slow starter and sucks against southpaws, and he got the nod in a pretty boring fight against Wonderboy. Then he fought for the belt.

I thought he could give Woodley problems and could win the fight, but he put in one of the worst title performances of all time and barely threw anything. His career went downhill from that point.

Unfortunately he is just a low output fighter who has confidence issues. Plus he never fights. He won a boring fight against Gastelum at MW who was quite an easy stylistic matchup, but apart from that and the first two rounds against Whittaker, he hasn’t done anything in ages. He looked bad against Brunson and he no longer has a huge size advantage like he had at 170.

Overall I think he’s a decent striker but his output is too low and he has mental hurdles that he needs to overcome. He is a subpar grappler but he’s pretty good in the clinch. He is in danger of fizzling out if he’s not careful.

Till is a clown more than a fighter nowadays.
He's travelled the world fighting , speaks Portuguese but portrays himself as a monkey. On top of that he's a fucking Scouser ! ;)

If Till could fight like he talks, he'd be a champ champ champ (170, 185 & 205)

It’s a shame the ufc never booked till vs perry. Would have been exciting regardless of the outcome

Pereira has won more fights, including the championship, in 1 year than Till has won in the last 6.

Alex accomplished more in a year than Till has his entire career.

It doesn't matter how fast you are when your output is less than 8 strikes in a round
