I found ghost/supernatural movies to typically have compelling stories.

The Changeling
The Fog
The Shining
The Sixth Sense
 
Most recent one I watched was the Witch. I liked it a lot. It's a period piece set in 1630, if you're into that sort of thing.

I fucking love that movie. Warning for anyone who hasn't seen it though, if you don't like slow movies and/or have the attention span of a 5 year old, then pass on this.

The best depiction of Satan ever committed to film. Sensual, inviting and an intangible amount of evil in such a short span of time.

I finish watching Frailty. Reminded me alot of The Usual Suspects and I thought I had the ending nail down. But damn.. the last revelation was so so good. Excellent suggestion man.

Check out suspect zero as well. Ben Kingsley, Aaron Eckhart both have good performances, and its got an original plot for the time.
