I think he has the skill to be champ, just not the hunger or confidence.

Dariush has beaten only 1 top 10 (Gamrot ), beating Tony is like beating syphilis (it was hard a very long time ago but quite easy now.) Charles is #1 and has beaten everybody but Islam. Beating Charles gets him a shot but can he actually beat Charles ?
 
doesn't make sense. you don't have to call out Islam but you definitely should be saying you want a title shot, no matter who the champ is.
 
I do think there's a chance of him getting passed up if Poirier sparks Gaethje next.

A reporter has said this to him before and his response was: "what's a better way of asking for a title shot than going out there and beating contenders?"
 
That would be outrageous if he beat Charles and didn’t get the next title fight
