Television DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (Set Photos of the Punisher, post #250)

Frank's trial/rant in DD S2 was epic and with the right writers, having most of the first part of a series be a flashback as told in a courtroom/trial could have been very cool and a different take the very tired D+ MCU stories...

Season 2 stunk but there were good moments such as that

Fisk benching the 275(plus another couple of hundred;)). Fisk beating the shit out of Frank. Frank's epic cell block brawl where he kills half a dozen guys with his bare hands, a shiv and what looks like a fucking tomahawk. The creepy pawn store owner offering Frank child porn, which is about as wise as giving a Nazi salute to Magneto. Daredevil casually walking between two Hand ninjas as Frank snipes them from the opposite roof.

Yeah, there was some good shit in DDS2.

The cynical part of me is wondering if it was actually awesome and well written, but didn't check enough boxes for the Disney execs and was too complex for your average Mouse Worshipper.
That's what I am thinking as well when you look at the executive reason for changing it, as in they wanted more "action". They also mention how they will keep certain things in that has already been shot, which is exactly the "fix it in post" thing that they have been having issues with. I'd rather watch a compelling and well written show drama with superhero undertones than another cookie cutter fluff piece. Guess we'll see.

Hopefully they bring back the Punisher show was much better. Even the best part of season 2 daredevil was the Punisher scenes.

So, it was announced that Dario Scarlapane who was writer at The Punisher is hired as showrunner and Benson and Moorhead hired as directors (Moon Knight, Loki).

Just follow comic book and make it rated R, boom success guaranteed

Give it to guy who made daredevil S1

What i find weird is that if current model of casual soft easy to watch storytelling is not working and money is being lost....

Then it would seem smart to try other type of approach, throw it on the wall and see if it sticks go full hardcore, show that relies on writing with moments of heavy violence

Pretty much. It's not like kids give a shit about Daredevil. They should just embrace the demographic, and go with a hard R rating aimed at 18-55 year old dudes.

i’m 100% here for that. the more MCU+ episodes those guys direct the better imo

Dario is awful though so RIP any chance this is good
yeah idk that guy & never watched The Punisher series. honestly seems like disney didn’t learn jack shit because they’re hiring some dude w/ anemic producing & writing credits at best & who’s never been a showrunner for anything before. like why not let B&M be the showrunners?? my guess is because they built up a well defined creative vision by now in their career, & Feige fears not being able to wrest enough creative control from two talented guys that prob aren’t game to bend the knee

"Wonder Man, a show that was paused because of the writers and actors strikes, is meant to be a behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood"

Steroids, bad CGI, casting couches, drug overdoses, and being blackballed?

Careful. Can't say that anymore. They race swapped Wonder Man.

Just let the DD actor and Kingpin actor make it up as they go. Couldn't be shittier than what the shitty writers left them with.

I'm rewatching the 1st season and its aged gracefully. Hard to believe it first aired 10 years ago.

And Stick was the unofficial star of the two episodes he was in. And I thought 'Sheesh that actor was old... can he make a re-appearance in Disney's Daredevil series?'

And I checked... and... he's still alive, but he turns 85 years old this year. But he's been somewhat active as an older actor, but he's only been 1 movie since 2020.
