Inspiring, game underdog performance. His striking looked awful but I remember thinking after the 1st rd, this guy has heart. A lot of lesser fighters would've looked for an easy way out in the 1st. Then when I heard he was a 4 time Judo Olympian (I didn't hear this until end of the 1st), I started believing he had a shot because he could probably do a much better job of keeping the fight where he wanted it. Even in the 2nd when his striking looked awful, you could tell this was a guy who believed in himself. Awesome
 
Just won me a shitload of money!!!

I was worried at first but I saw he was a tough guy in that first round.....going into the third round he was +900, I was gonna bet but I didnt have enough time!!!!!!!!!!
 
A better fighter with lesser heart would have given up after a few smacks, a straight left and a jab and one or two punches in mount. A better fighter with lesser heart would have tapped in two seconds and given up.

To be honest I was talking mad shit during the fight. Even said he looked like a grandpa. That kick!!! Grandpa karate!

Dude was just laying there waiting for a stoppage. He rolled over like thank god this over when it was finally stopped
 
He looks blocky and stuck in the mud with everything he does, but I do believe he know's 100% what he's doing. Good on him!

He reminds me a bit of Mike Russow.
 
You can see where he is obviously lacking skill wise, however one can also clearly see his strengths, technique and heart.
 
LOL he's 38 yrs old?! Makes this story even better. Damn if only he got into MMA much earlier & didn't have all those Judo commitments all those yrs. Beast, war old man!
 
When I first saw him fight, I thought he looked like some uncoordinated bum. Then he won.

Been a fan ever since, dudes an o.G.
 
Kelly is tough as hell. Will over technique. That was a good one.

Exactly what I was thinking. Alot of guys wouldnt have made it out of that first round when Shoeface had his back with that body lock and going for chokes. Old man got that grappling experience and hung in there. Impressive.
