Rumored Daniel Dubois reportedly out of his bout against parker this Saturday.

Boogie man of the division. Bit of a Foreman'esque aura & style.
Lots of rumors on him dropping a lot of big name heavyweights in sparring.
Usyk & Dubois among them.
He destroyed and brutally stopped America's best and favorite HW prospect in Jared Anderson.

The one knock & back down to earth thing you can say about him is that he lost to a more skilled smaller Michael Hunter. Was essentially out on the ropes getting beat on unanswered until the ref stepped in.

Gas tank and conditioning are always a suspect. Even more so with a short notice fight in the desert and unplanned travel.

Definitely won't be the best version of him

Defo pal, looked very big boarding the plane in the Congo. He's gonna be looking to end it early, only hope imo.

I don't think it ever happened to Usyk, Dubois, Joshua or any of the other top heavies that Bakole alleges he stopped in sparring. He may've gotten the better of these guys on occasion in sparring but that's about it. Trying to seriously hurt a sparring partner isn't why they were brought in to spar in the first place. Not to mention that in 18 & 20 oz gloves, which have twice as much padding as 10 oz competition gloves used in actual heavyweight fights, it's significantly harder to hurt anyone.
Sparring culture is very hard in boxing compared to the other fighting sports

It's not impossible, but just the way Bakole is talking I don't buy it. The fact that he keeps changing his story makes it obvious that he's making it up. Sparring is sparring so shit can happen when you spar a guy multiple times and you happen to be sharp that day and the other guy isn't and he's also spars other guys. I've got guys in sparring who would have destroyed me in a real match but when you spar someone dozens of times, you can get a good day.

What also makes it obvious that Bakole is at the very least exaggerating is because he named just about every top heavyweight around and claims he finished them. Some of these guys, like Usyk, have never been stopped in hundreds of fights including their amateur careers. We're talking about actual sanctioned fights here using gloves that have far less padding on them than sparring gloves have.

Yeah, Usyk spars a bunch of guys per day in camp. He does what's called shark tank sparring where your sparring partners are rotated. It's possible that these top heavies weren't fresh and Bakole was or that Bakole was going all out and they weren't. Or maybe they were nursing an injury that they sustained in camp going into the spar. Who knows.

He does have a nasty uppercut. I think he chins Parker. Parker has a vulnerable jaw.,

Nonsense, Parker’s got a very sturdy chin. His tko to Joyce was down to exhaustion as much as anything else. Very few HWs would’ve got up from that left hook that Whyte caught him with. The same shot that nearly killed Lucas brown!

Very few fighters have survived being hit clean by zhang, who’s probably the biggest hitter in the sport right now. There’s fuck all wrong with Parker’s whiskers

Yeah but I have bad feeling about this one for Parker. When I put the dots together I think he loses. He hasn't trained for Bakole.

you are fairly new here and i have seen you say some absolute shite

Parker has been in with ALL of the biggest punchers in the division, he has been stopped ONCE

Joshua
Whyte
Chisora
Wilder
Zhang

Wilder never hit him but yeah, my point was that's it not granite

My concern is Parker coming in heavy. Bakoles got slow feet so being a bit more mobile would’ve been better for joe. I’m sure he’d come in lighter if he was training fit this fight

I still think he wins the fight as I’m a not completely sold on bakole but I’m not saying that with much confidence

I got Joshua-Dubious terribly wrong, but so did Atlas. I usually get them right.

I have never been so wrong on a fight.. but in fairness to myself, Joshua had a lapse in concentration which was a very strange anomality.

Lots of people called it wrong, including myself. I do think bakole is marginally easier fight for Parker though
