Daniel Cormier is the worst thing to happen to the UFC. a cheater, a drunk, and an annoying commentator.
Fill me in on the cheater and drunk thing dude .. the towel thing ? What about the drunk thing I’ve never heard that

Conor McGregor Says Daniel Cormier Showed Up to Press Event Drunk

Blake SchusterAug 11, 2021

Conor McGregor escalated his verbal spat with Daniel Cormier on Wednesday apparently in response to the retired UFC star's comments on his DC & RC podcast.

In a series of tweets, the Irishman claimed without evidence that Cormier attended a media event for McGregor-Poirier III while drunk and wondered if UFC should fire him as a commentator

On top of all this, you can just tell sometimes listening to him commentate. He either comes in drunk having had too much before he goes on the air, or degrades over the length of the event, getting more sloppy and aimless with his commentary and the night goes on.

The cheat thing he admitted to finally after years:

Daniel Cormier admitted to using an illegal tactic, known as "towel gate," to make weight at UFC 210 in 2017. After initially weighing in 1.2 lbs over the limit, he returned minutes later and appeared to push down on a towel, reducing his weight to 205 lbs. He admitted to this act in 2022.
  • The Incident: At UFC 210, before his fight against Anthony "Rumble" Johnson, Cormier missed weight on his first attempt, weighing 206.2 lbs.
  • The Cheat: Upon returning to the scale, Cormier placed his hands on the towel held up by officials, creating upward tension to lower the reading on the scale to 205 lbs.
  • Admission: After denying it for five years, Cormier admitted on his podcast, and later during his Hall of Fame induction, that he did grab the towel.
  • Context: While widely considered a form of cheating to gain a competitive advantage, Cormier has referred to it as an "old wrestling trick". The New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) was criticized for allowing the weight cut to pass.

Cormier is obsessed with Jones and just can't let go of it. He thinks about Jones more than snacks. Jones moved on ages ago and is happy.
