Media Daniel Cormier and Chris Weidman flabbergasted by Conor Mcgregor fact

Never underestimate the power of "White dollars" on the Western market. It's our largest American demographic. Anyone who speaks fluent English and has an appearance the majority can latch onto, is potentially the sports next biggest superstar.
Just look at the WNBA and all the folks who suddenly pretend to care about that terribly unathletic sport 😑

The UFC would be wise to scour the earth for some new "fan friendly talent"... 👻

What a wildly inaccurate and bizarre statement.

If Dana was smart he would have gotten him into rehab ages ago, but Dana probably likes the nose candy as well, but in moderation.

Love him or hate him, Conor was the transition to the entertainment business & did a great job of doing so. Like it or not the entertainment era helped reach the UFC to higher levels of the world.

yeah, it got bigger but it also got shittier

He was popular. People really don't understand the significance of the Irish part ... Every goofball white dude in America that thinks he's part Irish bought every single one of those pay-per-views. A lot of them probably have shamrock tattoos on their neck or calves.
I think all fighters should have Irish guys speak for them at pressors

At least all belt holders. Make it a special privilege

Cause honestly man it’s too many non English speakers trying to talk shit to each other

“You are beach”

“This little guy think he have ego but I will take tomorrow”

no, that is not it. he was universally charismatic back then. sure, white guys liked him, but THE ENTIRE WORLD was vibing with his schtick. it's like saying Muhammad Ali was only popular because black people, nah, the whole world was watching his every move, not just black people.

also WNBA is popular because Caitlin Clark is a phenom. it's not because she's white. there were plenty of white women playing in the WNBA before her that nobody gave a shit about.

Honestly the more surprising fact is that Conor/Mendes wasn't also there. Turns out it was just shy at 825K, which is still higher than Jones/DC lol.

Shit also becomes way funnier when you realize DC's math is obviously "that's 8M PPVs, that's crazy" and not the reality that it's actually 12.5M PPVs as Conor was selling way higher than 1M (especially Khabib and Dustin 3). The total would've floored him even more if he realized how far away Conor was from the rest in terms of PPVs.

Are they doing the streamer fake overreaction thing or did they really not know that?

It’s almost hard to remember what his public image was since he has become such an openly degenerate, embarrassment

But he was the biggest star MMA has ever or potentially will ever have by miles… I know a lot of you guys hated him from beginning to end, but his run was something special to watch if you were able to appreciate it
I'd be willing to give them the reasonable doubt in that many people would honestly not even realize that Conor's fought 8x since Aldo.

Gun to my head and gut reaction I'd have blurted like 5-6 fights if I couldn't think it through and count them out.
