News Dana Wont Rule Out Paul Brothers In The UFC

How comes no one gave a shit when Idris Elba won a pro kickboxing fight in his late 40's against an actual pro fighter ?

Logan Paul at MW in UFC could actually do pretty well. He’s a former D1 wrestler, very athletic and has better boxing than half of the division. I could see him beating guys like Tavares, Holland, Edmen and the current form Weidman even.

Lol sure stop fighting bums for millions n come to the UFC to fight killers for peanuts makes perfect sense

"They don't need the UFC as a promoter. They essentially beat the system. It's pretty unfair but that's the reality of life sometimes. Especially these days."

How is it unfair?
One of the brothers has been on social media since 2013 IIRC. Building up his brand and has +20mil followers.
Thats hard work and dedication.
Now they have decided to "box" using their fame /followers to make money.
There is nothing unfair here.
People dont pay to see them box because they are good boxers but because they are fans/followers of them.

I mean if Taylor Swift decided to box tomorrow it would be the biggest ppv ever.
Because she is a good boxer? No because she is famous
and mainstream.

These people have built their fame over many years in other fields.

You're taking what I said the wrong way and focusing on something that isn't the main point. I understand all that. Life isn't fair. I'm just stating it as a general fact rather than as a complaint.

Then there's always this problem.
What problem could this UFC employee possibly cause anybody?? Some of you are straight up stupid.

The Paul brothers will fight in MMA at some point and it won't be under the UFC Banner

Imagine how Red Dana will be when the biggest mma ppv's are from the Paul brothers

<31>

Say what you want about these guys, but they’re certainly NOT stupid when it comes to their “career”. They would never step into a cage to fight a young, legit opponent and understandably so.

These guys make millions without putting their lives, and limbs in mortal danger. Why would either of them ever sign to fight in the UFC? The thought is just ludicrous.

Obviously UFC is too much but Logan Paul would do way better in mma compared to boxing if he actually went full time pro. In those grappling clips he looks way better than what I would have expected

Many in the thread have taken the OP literally and are discussing potential opponents.

Paul "Catastrophic Injury" Craig is the only man that Dana and the matchmakers would give that honor too.
Well cleary what you were going for went above everbody's head, so the problem here is not me or anybody else. It's you, weirdo.

210 is the size of the average MW.
I only know of two fighters who cut from 210 lbs or higher:
Middleweight
(2019) Paulo Costa: 213.8 lbs
(2019) Marvin Vettori: 211 lbs
(2018) Thiago Santos: 209.5 lbs
(2019) Yoel Romero: 207.2 lbs
(2019) Karl Roberson: 206.4 lbs
(2018) Elias Theodorou: 206 lbs
(2012) Vitor Belfort: 205 lbs
(2019) Derek Brunson: 204.8 lbs
(2019) Lyoto Machida: 204.6 lbs
(2019) Ian Heinisch: 203.5 lbs
(2019) Gegard Mousasi: 202.4 lbs
(2019) Wellington Turman: 202.2 lbs
(2010) Luke Rockhold: 200-201 lbs
(2018) Michael Bisping: 200 lbs
(2019) Cezar Ferreira: 200 lbs
(2018) Gegard Mousasi: 200 lbs
(2018) Uriah Hall: 199 lbs
(2018) Bevon Lewis: 194.5 lbs
(2015) Antonio Carlos Jr: 194 lbs
(2018) Kevin Holland: 193 lbs
(2015) Chris Weidman: 192-193 lbs
(2016) Kelvin Gastelum: 187 lbs
That is not the average.

Uhm aren't those the fight night weights? Not what they walk around at.

Actually they are because I remember Costa weighing 213 against Romero. We're talking about their natural weight outside the octogon.

Keep up.

They make more money outside the UFC doing celebrity/freakshow fights.

Why would they wanna lock themselves in a UFC contract, make less, and possibly fight the likes of legitimate fighters in their prime when they don't have to?

You’re assuming they’d have to sign a multi fight contract. I figure with their leverage, they can dictate the terms of a single fight and get paid handsomely without sucking off Dana like less, marketable, desperate fighters who need a payday.

Who would Logan fight? They’d have to give him a CM Punk opponent like Mike Jackson or Mickey Gall.
Mickey Gall was a real prospect who asked to fight CM Punk being new to the sport he got it and made quick work of CM Punk, Mike Jackson is more in line with a can and he still toyed with him, needs to be below that line, having said that, either Paul would had beat CM too just out of athleticism.

Paul brother against pro boxers in MMA could be funny
