Do we believe him?

UFC 182: Jones vs Cormier had a $3.7m gate. UFC 197: Jones vs Saint Preux had a $2.3m gate.

Meanwhile 189, 194 and 196 had gates of $7.1m, $10.1m and $8.1m.

On that basis, with an arena 25% bigger than the MGM we might tickets to be sold to generate a gate of $12-13m at UFC 200.

Are they really expecting to sell tickets at that price for Jones vs Cormier 2?

Good luck with that!

Not exactly sure what youre asking here

Dana will just do his tweet for tickets thing the day before the fight and unload a semi truck full of unsold tickets.

Why is this threadworthy? Why would you think it would change?

Ticket prices should go up now that we have a proper main event for the title with the best fighter in UFC Jones. Aint no freakshow pointless rematch headlining anymore.

Because when this exact same headliner was scheduled for 197, they could barely get over 10,000 tickets sold at a fraction of the price.

Well the PPV price hasnt changed for me either : 0$

So its all good

200 is more than about the headliner and 197 still had 3 more weeks before the main event changed.

Prices never change with the changing of a match. You really should do more research and answer your own question.

he actually said he didnt know whether they would be cheaper, he basically avoided the question

Nonsense. I'd love to know how you'd even know that. Do you work for the UFC?

It will certainly be interesting to see how the numberz shake out after UFC 200.

UFC 196: had only 2 fights with big draw potential... & it came only inches away from the all time PPV record.

Do you think that waz from Tate? Holm? Nate?

Take each one's last 3 fights & Mac has moved the needle more than every one of them combined X 2 or 3 over. It's safe to say that those fighterz helped... but... etc...

200 is certainly a good looking card... & I'll buy it... but It's not what I expected out of UFC 200. I think it's a stretch to even say that it breaks the PPV record as it standz.

The best fighter in the UFC???? Oh, man! I didn't know Demetrious Johnson would be back for UFC 200!
I'm pumped!

It's all about the ENTIRE card. And it's UFC 200. It was already amazing before Jones/Cormier. Now it's epic. Best card ever to date.

Totally unrelated but how much are ticket prices for these events, anyway? I'd like to go to the event in NYC but I'm not rich--still paying for my Master's, just got done paying for a 3 day wedding, building my first house--don't know if it's worth the splurge at a time like this.

Watching desperate fans beg Dana for free tickets, meeting him at tweet locations was kind of cringe to see. Acting like he was giving them something special, when he was continuously giving wads of tickets away.
