Sakuraba was such a gangster. It's a shame we never got to see anything like Sakuraba-Hughes before it was too late. Unfortunately the PRIDE matchmackers were too interested in seeing him get wrecked by Wanderlei.

There will never be another Sakuraba. I've yet to see it in MMA.
 
i think japan was dead set on killing saku in the ring. if they just kept him fighting at 185 he may very well still be fighting.
