Dana White on how the GSP deal finally got done

GSP wanted a certain amount of money, UFC said no, didn't come back for UFC 206.

Conor got vacated and is on maternity leave, Ronda got beaten into retirement, Jones still suspended and Lesnar retired.

UFC gave GSP his money.

This quote will be in my head every time I hear about GSP from this day forth. That bald, lying goof JUST said this bullshit not long ago. I get bending the truth and telling some tall tales as a promoter, but how the fuck do you go from ""He doesn't have to tell me that," added White. "I've dealt with him. Dana always does this bullshit. If a fighter doesn't do what he wants, how he wants it then he throws a tantrum. Just because a guy doesn't lick your boots and joyfully take that Reebok cash doesn't mean they don't want to fight

DANA doesn't want to pay GSP
DANA has unexpected visitors in GSP agent and Freddy Roach (for some reason). Could have been a puppy or tray of cookies instead I suppose.
DANA takes this opportunity to allow his heart to grow 2 sizes that day and use this face saving device to finally get a decent god damned PPV this year.
 
So gsp has been training the fuck out of his boxing w roach.. His defense and lack of ko power were his weaknesses imo.. Maybe hes gsp2.0
