Agree with Dana on some of this. Schaub wasn't good enough. But saying fighters aren't making millions because they aren't good enough is too much of a generalisation. The marketable guys make millions. Ben askren is good enough to be in the ufc from a fighting stand point but wouldn't shift many ppvs with his style.
I remember when Schaub was being the legend killer and had a little hype for himself and he called out Nog who was coming off a year layoff because he thought it'd be an easy fight.
If you actually listen to what Dana said he's right. The guys who bring in the business make more money. It's the same way as it is in the business world. Can any of you guys honestly say that you bought a PPV because Schaub was on it? It might've been nice to have him support someone on a card but he wasn't making anyone open their wallets.
Regardless, the statement was a generalization and I think a fair one.
Typical Dana
Always telling things with as much class as rageful ex...
Even if the "content" of his statement is right, the form leaves a lot to be desired...
I was hoping dana would be a little more savage then that. That was a calm dana and he is right, some fighters are not good enough to earn the big money.
