I as a fan want to see it. It's more exciting than a regular fight. But it's obvious from his reply that it's never going to happen again

But I guess Dana wants his fighters health intact

It's a weird obsession. MMA is different then wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, karate etc. I get why the fighters want super fights, money. But fans should want best MMA fighter to fight the best MMA fighter. I guess I'm advocating cross promotion flights as better then cross sport. I'd rather see open weight tournaments then MMA vs boxing in boxing

My sport is better then your sport is an odd hill to die on.

Yea not a good look for his brand to have MMA champions getting flat lined in boxing while making more in one fight compared to their whole UFC career.

Most of the UFC-Boxing crossover fights has seen the UFC fighters winning or at least looking good, relative to them being the ones to cross over.

Vitor Belfort beat Evander Holyfield, which shocked the world. It was a shocking upset that left the boxing world in awe.

Ngannou of the UFC and MMA came close to beating the boxing champion of the world, Tyson Fury, and most peoble who defended Fury had the good ol' defense ready: Fury underestimated Ngannou. He was drunk. He had problems.

If there is a good reason that calls for it, sure. Maybe when someone in UFC is at a pro boxing level. But I think it's a waste of time to see mma vs boxing. It's stupid when guys like Usman were calling to fight Canelo. I'm a fan of fights and these circus shows are just going to attract more MMA guys to leave UFC to boxing to lose.

yea man i celebrate these victories. Don’t forget Spider beating Chavez.

Woodley was probably the worst. None of us expected Askren to do well, but boxing elitists don’t really know or care that he’s primarily a wrestler with terrible striking, even by MMA standards. I really wish we’d get more boxing crossover to MMA.

He has only done it once, and its the 2nd biggest PPV in boxing history, no other matchup comes close to that.

For the life of my I don't grasp why people would want to spend money to watch people do things they aren't good at or trained for.

Crossover fights are trash.

What is it like inside the mind of the people that keep watching thinking "THIS is going to be the time that the old way past his prime MMA fighter KOes Jake Paul!"
(On a boxing card hosted and sponsored by:
Jake Paul and Prime Energy drinks) ...?

Are they mind boggled reading the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" for the 47th time and shocked at the plot twist?

Oh SHIT!! It was the wolf!!
Oh damn.. I wonder if it was him the whole time??!?!

Agreed, but technically thats how the UFC started, i think.

Same reason you go to the circus. It's a freak show.

Dana didn't want to do it in the first place and he was right from the start. Only caused him problems
