Watch the fight without commentary. Thought it was a pretty clear 49-46. No 10-8 rounds tho, that's tough. Probably the same judge who had Cruz losing to Kenney.

Jan landed more in every round and it's definitely not like Izzy was landing harder.

Conor got owned and the possibility of Khabib-Conor 2 went to garbage.
Khamzat got sick and who knows what will happen with him.

Jan 48-47. But I was wrong. Izzy's quick hands don't mean he was landing or doing damage.

Fight Metric results show what really happened. A one sided beatdown, with the last round likely being a 10-8 due to domination. A 49-45 could be a legit score. Dana can go cry his red head to sleep on his red pillow. Judges deserve credit for good scores. That not even more viewers are getting right.

Fight metrics don't tell the whole story.. The winner isn't always the guy that lands the most strikes, and there isn't enough distinguishing regular strikes and significant strikes, not all significant strikes are equal... That being said upon first watch I too thought that Izzy won the first 3 rounds

Jan landed more in every round and it's definitely not like Izzy was landing harder.

I rewatched the fight.. and you just can't always go off of numbers man..Even Dana white said you had to be blind or crazy to score that fight Jan 4-1.. he had it tied going into the 5th.. I thought the first 3 rounds were very close, but Izzy was dodging plenty of shots that either didn't have any damage on them, or could have actually been misses.. You did see Izzy in the post fight interview right? The guy didn't have a scratch on his face.. look at Jan.. Izzy definitely landed more meaningful blows on the face and it showed.. That all being said.. I have no problem with Jan being called the winner of this fight, I just think that it was as one sided as the scorecards would have you believe.. You can say it's commentary, but to me it was just bad judging to score 49-45.. that is outrageous.. there was no 10-8 rounds.

I scored it 3-2 for Izzy or a draw. I don’t see how Jan won the first 3 rounds, Izzy controlled the fight, Jan was the follower in the fight. Jan did control the 4th and 5th round however.

Throwing effective strikes is not the same as throwing strikes that are blocked.
Jan blocked or parried most of the strikes in the first 3 rounds. That strikes doesn't count for shit buddy.

Both didn't really land that much.

It was a close fight, but since you can't score a round a draw it can obviously look more onesided on the scorecards. I had it 3-2 Jan but 4-1 doesn't seem crazy to me either.

The first 3 rounds were close with not much happening and they were all 10-9, then when we get a dominant round I'm fine with going 10-8 for that.
